It was dark. The ancient creature finally left unconsciousness and woke up.
He didn't know where he was, but most importantly he didn't know what he was either. He was confused, but for some unknown reason, he felt safe. Maybe the warm and the dark reminded him of something he couldn't recall.
Suddenly he heard some noise, which he didn't know, but his instincts told him to run. He moved his leg, but the darkness moved with it.
He realised why: he was buried. He started to dig in a direction, that he thought was up.
It took him a few minutes, but finally the battle between the animal and the land ended. He finally saw light.
He stuck him head out of the hole, in order to breathe some fresh air. He saw more light, and he was amazed by the green of the trees, the brown of the soil and the blue of the sky.
The creature got out of the hole to finally take a look at himself.
He was fully covered by fur. It was orange with some white and lighter orange spots. The creature was about a metre high if he stood up. Otherwise he was just half a metre. He was a bit disappointed. He thought he was something bigger.
When he was finished with his own observation, he looked around. He was in a jungle as he saw trees everywhere. The jungle seemed to be full of life. Birds were chirping all around and the creature could smell the thrill of the predators and the fear of their prey. He felt home. Then suddenly felt the worst smell: death. He found the smell of rotten flesh and bones interesting. He was curious of what happened, so he began to run in the direction of the body.
The smell led him to a giant skeleton, left there for the nature to consume it in order to stay alive.
He found the skull and he put it on his head for protection. He was surprised. It fitted him perfectly.
After hours of examination, he also found a strange bone, that was not part of the skeleton. As he touched it everything went black.
When he woke up he was lying on the ground in the darkness. It was night. He could only remember a few things that happened after he touched the bone: Anger, blood, everything became smaller, and the loudest sound he ever heard: GNAAAAR!
