Hyunjin watched as the rain hammered against the frail glass of his bedroom window. It was late October so weather like this was expected, it wasn't welcome though. The boy sighed and ran a hand through his damp hair, he had just gotten out of the storm when the cracks of lightning shook the town, he was thankful for that at least. Hyunjin looked at the bracelet on his wrist as he brought his hand down from his hair.

"You really want this bracelet don't you?" Jeongin smiled, turning to the older. Hyunjin nearly missed what he had said, too mesmerised by the dancing colours of the spectrum knitted through the shifting bracelet.
"What? N-no it's fine" Hyunjin stuttered, finally diverting his attention from the item. However, it still seemed to lure him in, entrancing him.
"I can buy it for you, it's really no problem" Jeongin pressed, grabbing hyunjin briefly by the shoulder. Hyunjin only shook his head.
"I'll get it some other time"

"October is so lonely when you have no one to hold, no one to scare away the literal demons that come swinging, hoping to snatch a fraction of my soul. Right Bleak?" Jeongin sighed, his head resting on his palm, looking out at the crying sky. Hyunjin was somewhere looking at that same sky.
"I told you to stop calling me that, my name is Jisung" the bird haughtily told the boy.
"It doesn't matter, you're just a bird anyway" Jeongin scoffed, his eyes not leaving the scene before him. A crow had began pecking at a rather red leaf, only to have some competition arise, another crow. The birds began attacking each other.
"I'm a bird, until I find someone to turn me back!" Jisung squawked
"Who in the hell would want to kiss a bird?" Jeongin's face contorted into disgust, diverting his attention from the scene to lay his eyes on the Phoenix trapped in a cage close to his own wardrobe.
"Who said it was a kiss?" The bird mumbled, beginning to preen at his feathers
"We'll find your princess" Jeongin sighed, turning his back on the bird. With great disappointment, he realised both crows had left. The shredded red leaf lay soaked on the dark, wet concrete.

Hyunjin didn't know why he never took off the bracelet, it only ever reminded his of Jeo- no... him. The boy was just disgusting in every way... well not every way, but most. Let's be honest, if you walked in on your friend biting into the dead corpse of a rat, you're not going to be too supportive. Hyunjin let it slide once, but he was weary. That's when Hyunjin noticed inconsistencies in the other boy's behaviour. He began to pale, his nails became longer, he stayed outside less and wouldn't enter classrooms unless personally welcomed in. He was strange, and one day changed everything, and Jeongin wishes that day never happened.

"Chris hyung!" Hyunjin yelled, running up to the older, aka his employer. Chris looked around in alarm, but smiled warmly when he realised it was just Hyunjin.
"What is it Hyunjin?" Chris asked, untying the flower shop apron from behind his back. He had just finished potting up some purple peonies when he was interrupted by the loud boy.
"Can we go somewhere tonight? My mum said I can take someone to the movies, but I have no one to go with" Hyunjin smiled, fixing the cuffs of his sleeves. Chris' face fell.
"I really can't tonight, I'm meant to stay home I- I promised my-" Chris began
"Your girlfriend, I get it" Hyunjin scoffed, kicking some stray soil off the pavement.
"Look Hyunjin, I really am sorry. Look! Some day this week I'll let you come over when they're over. How does that sound?" Chris excitedly explained, trying his hardest to lift the other boy's mood.
"It's a deal"
Truth is Hyunjin accepted the offer because he was curious what kind of person Chris picked up, he had always gone on about this relationship and how he can't do this, or that because it's date night. He really wanted to see if this person was worth Chris' time.

Walking alone Hyunjin stuffed two tickets into his pocket, the stripes of his jumper were sheer, meaning the cold sank easily into his skin. He was chilled to the bone. He could always ask Jeongin, but his mum wouldn't allow him to see a horror movie. Hyunjin was all out of ideas. That's when a force shoved him against the wall.
"What the hell?" Hyunjin mumbled, looking up to the person who had his trapped between their arms. The face looked familiar.
"Let me drink your blood" the voice hissed. He didn't know why he thought it was Jeongin, the voice was too deep... right?
"Tell me who you are, then I'll think about it" Hyunjin smiled, trying his best to settle the pure fear leaking into every inch of his being.
"Yang Jeongin, now let me drink your blood... please" Jeongin pleaded, the last part sounded more like a wine, as if the boy was about to break down into tears at any moment. Jeongin looked up, through blood shot eyes and tears.
