Grocery shopping wasn't Hyunjin's idea of a good time, but his mum asked him to do it -and she was busy with work - so it left him no choice. Although Hyunjin had to argue that 10pm was a ridiculous time to roll up to ASDA.
"Garlic, crisps, water, gluten-free brownies, bread and that's it" Hyunjin muttered to himself, checking off the items in the trolley according to the shopping list. He didn't really care how violently he had chucked them in, because they were going to be eaten anyway. Realising no one else was crazy enough to be out at this time, and that the isle was empty, Hyunjin pushed his trolley forward and stood on the platforms over the wheels. He flew up the isle, stopping when it got to the end so he could check out.

Only one lane was open.

"Good morning" the cashier droned, before quickly correcting himself "sorry! I meant evening"
"It's 10pm, it's night time" Hyunjin sighed, looking at the cashier, the man replied with a sigh of his own,
"I've been in here all day, all perception of time to me has been lost in the abyss" Hyunjin got slightly concerned about the cashier after his comment.
"Sorry..." Hyunjin leaned forward and read the name tag "Woojin". Woojin smiled,
"You're the second person to ever pay attention to my name tag"
"Who was the first?" Hyunjin asked, right as a very familiar face barged in the shop doors.
"Woojin! I'm here to give you a lift" Chris called, running over to the checking point. Woojin looked around quickly, checking that no one was around, and placed a small peck on Chris's lips when he stopped by the till. Chris's cheeks tinted pink.
"Chris?" Hyunjin asked... well he knew it was Chris, but as far as hyunjin knew Chris had a girlfriend...
"Uhhh Hyunjin... I didn't realise you were here" Chris nervously spoke, rocking back and forth on his heels. "Oh right... this is my 'girlfriend'" Chris said, illustrating his point with air quotation marks. Hyunjin was surprised, he didn't think Chris likes men. Hyunjin's gaydar seemed to be really off recently, even for a gay guy himself.
"Jeongin already knew, but I didn't want you to know" Chris admitted, rubbing Hyunjin's arm. Hyunjin was even more surprised at the fact that Jeongin hadn't told half of River Lake.
"When did you run into him?" Hyunjin asked,
"A couple days ago when me and Woojin were...." Chris's cheeks grew red, "busy" Woojin finished, smiling at Hyunjin.
If they meant what Hyunjin thought they did, then he wasn't sure how Jeongin could handle cock blocking on such a severe scale, not to mention the second hand embarrassment.
"Anyway, my shift is over right?" Woojin asked Chris, he nodded. Woojin slapped the conveyor belt and jumped over the check out. He unzipped the bright green cardigan and bounced out of the shop.
"What do I do with my shopping?" Hyunjin yelled after him, only getting a faint
"Check the conveyor belt" in response. Chris smiled at Hyunjin,
"I'm sorry, but I'm kinda his ride home"
Hyunjin smiled back,
"It's fine, now go! You're boyfriend is calling" Hyunjin urged, and bouncing out behind Woojin like an over excited preteen, Chris left the shop.

On the conveyor built there was a single £25 coupon, now Hyunjin just had to figure out how to scan it without causing the till to completely break down... hopefully his common sense was good enough.

When Hyunjin got home, his mum wasn't there. Hyunjin checked his watch,
11:21
She should be back by now.

Then a thought crept into his head...
"She's probably with that man"
And clenching his fists, he threw down the shopping bags and stomped upstairs.

This was out of character for his mum.
