The Doctor and the Hale

The Doctor (Sterek)

Stiles was busy rushing around trying to see all the patientsin the hospital, it was the busiest it had been in months but that was due to the fire that spread earlier that night. The fire had spread to five houses before the firefighters had managed to put it out. Each household had at least four people in it and many neighbours had try to run into the houses to save the people inside. He was relieved no one had any serious damage, majority of people just had mild shock.

"Dr. Stilinksi we need your help right away!" A nurse in a blue uniform came rushing into the room Stiles was in. "Of course." Stiles rushed after the nurse into the consultation room where a man with facial hair was sitting, holding his leg. "Mr Hale, this is our best doctor, Dr Stilinksi. He will examine you and make sure that your leg is okay." With that the nurse left the room, leaving Stiles and this Mr Hale alone. 

"So, what can I do for you...?"  Stiles wanted to know his name, it wasn't everyday he saw an attractive guy in his work place. Plus, everyone that came into the Beacon Hills Hospital knew Stiles and he knew them but this one, this one was a mystery. "Derek. Well I had been out with my niece in the woods, when I fell over a branch and it has pretty much wrecked my leg." The mention of the woods set off a triger in Stiles' brain, he remebered him and scott finding a dead body there when they had been attending high school. He hadn't been back there since they found it and he doubted Scott had. "I'm going to feel your leg and see if anything is out of order." He bent down and felt along the bone, he noticed that something had broke. "I think I'm going to send you for an x-ray, which should take half an hour at most and then I shall see you again." Stiles got up and held out his hand to help Derek up, he gave him directions to the x-ray waiting room and went back to seeing other paitents.

Ten minutes later, he got shouted over by the receptionist, he was confused because everyone he was friends with knew not to call him during work hours. "It's the x-ray guy, he says Mr Hale hasn't turned up." The recptionist had a mixed look on her face, worry and confusion. Stiles sighed. God damn knew people in town, who don't know how to follow instructions. "Tell him, I'll find the paitent." With that he took off, searching for the tall and handsome guy.

Five minutes later he found the poor guy, he was confused. He finally noticed Stiles when he turned round to see if he could see any signs. "Oh hey, Dr Stilinksi!" He grinned and waved, causing the doctor to laugh and wave back. "Wrong way Derek, follow me." He shook his head as Derek jogged up to him. "I can't remember where you said to go, so I  just wondered around. I hoped you would come to my rescue." Derek raised his eyebrows and nudged Stiles, this time Stiles made an "uh huh" sound. They finally reached the x-ray waiting room and Stiles told the man in charge that Mr Hale was finally there. "I should see you in about ten minutes, if you can't remember how to get back to my room, ask the man to call reception and I'll come assit you." Stiles winked before walking back to the main part of the hospital.

The receptionists called Stiles over again, telling him that his paitent needed him. Stiles chuckled to himself before walking to the x-ray side of the hospital. He saw Derek standing up against the wall and smiling to himself. "Hale!" Stiles shouted over to Derek, who jumped with fright before walking over to stiles. They slowly made there way back to Stiles' room.

"Okay, so as I can see from the x-ray, you have fractured your ankle. But that should heal soon, I will give you some pain killers to stop the pain but for future reference don't run about in the woods, a dead body might be lurking there." Stiles smirked, although it had taken him two years to get over the nightmares of seeing the dead body. "My sister lives near the woods and thats where I'm staying at the moment. Plus it looks inviting." Derek smiled showing his teeth, which Stiles found oddly attractive. "Who's your sister? I might have to tell her to keep an eye on you!" Stiles joked, not expecting a response from Derek. "Oh you might know her, Its Laura Hale! She drove me here after forcing me to come, I could have looked up the sysmptoms on google and figured out what to do!" Derek chuckled, the words made Stiles shake his head in response. "Laura is your sister? Her daughter and my best friends son always have play dates and they are always when i'm off. Which means I have to take Zeus to Laura's house." Stiles sighed, he really hated Scott sometimes.           "Talia always talks about Zeus, you should bring him over tomorrow. I mean, if you want and you're off." Derek rambled and his cheeks turned a little tint of pink. "I would like that and I'm sure the kids would. Should we say dinner time?" At this point, Stiles wished it was just him and Derek doing lunch tomorrow or him doing Derek tomorrow. "Yes, thats fine. I will see you tomorrow...?" Derek waited for Stiles' name. "Stiles, it's Stiles." Stiles smiled shyly.
