Caroline  finally snapped out of her sorrowful thoughts and realised where she was. She was in the music room, standing in front of the one instrument she vowed to never touch - her piano.

The instrument brought too many memories, memories she wishes to forget, simply because they brought her too much pain.

Because of him she stopped playing and now because of him she started playing again.

"I'D LIKE TO SAY
I'M OKAY, BUT I'M NOT
I TRY, BUT I FALL
CLOSE MY MIND
TURN IT OFF-"

As she sang each word, she remembered all the things that had escalated in the past, all the memories that they shared together.

"-DIDN'T SAY GOODBYE
NOW I'M FROZEN IN TIME
GETTING COLDER, COLDER
ONE LAST WORD
ONE LAST MOMENT
TO ASK YOU WHY
YOU LEFT ME HERE BEHIND
YOU SAID
YOU'D GROW OLD WITH ME "

Tears were cascading down on her eyes but she didn't care. All she wanted to do was to vent out her sadness on the one thing they used to love to play together.

Ever since he left, today was the first time she touched the instrument.

She stopped playing it and had it removed from her room, and brought it to the music room to be with all the instruments in the house.

She didn't even notice her mother who was her audience.

All that she needed was the smell of her mother's perfume and a warm motherly hug to stop pretending.

She didn't need to pretend to be strong anymore, her mother was there to be strong for her. She was there to hold her and make it all go away , she was there to kiss it better and to give her the love that she needs.

A loud sob escaped her mouth as she held on tight to her mother.

"Mom,my heart hurts " was all she needed to say before letting another sob escaped her mouth.

It hurt Avery to see her Caroline that way. Her daughter was always the strongest one in the family, she was a tough cookie and never broke easily.

She was there for everyone at the funeral. She stayed strong for everyone, she held her siblings tight as they cried for the death of their brother- and the death of her twin, the one person who Caroline loved the most in this world.

Avery gently dragged her daughter to the blue couch that stood in the middle of the room. She layed Caroline's head on her lap and sang for her.

This was the song that she used to sing to the both of them as they grew up. Now they both had tears in their eyes as Avery sang her to sleep.

" HUSH , LITTLE BABY
DON'T YOU CRY
MAMA'S GONNA LOVE YOU
ALL YOUR LIFE

AND IF YOU EVER
NEED A FRIEND
MAMA'S RIGHT THERE
TO THE VERY END -"
