"Hey Dal, I'm just going to the store okay? Do you want anything?" Asked Brendon. "Uh, yeah, can I just have a Dr.Pepper? Oh, uh, did you fancy takeaway for dinner? Or did you wanna cook something?" Replied Dallon. "Umm...I think takeaway sounds good. Yeah?" Said Brendon. "Ok. We'll order when you get back from the store or a bit later." Said Dallon. "Ok." Brendon leaned in and gave Dallon a kiss. "See you when you get back." About an hour passed and Brendon hadn't come back. Dallon was becoming bored and didn't know what to do, so he decided to go and explore Brendon's recording studio. When Dallon was in Urielectric, the studio, he saw just the usual stuff, guitars, a keyboard, Brendon's computer and gaming station, but on a desk was a book that Dallon assumed was Brendon's songbook. Dallon sat at the desk and started looking through the book and saw songs titled: But It's Better If You Do, Turn Off The Lights, Golden Day, Camisado, Miss Jackson, Girls/Girls/Boys, the song he and his boyfriend worked on together and another one that popped out, Sarah Smiles. Almost immediately Dallon was intrigued by this title, so he read the song; 'Sarah smiles like Sarah doesn't care', 'Does she know that my destiny lies with her?'. Dallon wondered who was Sarah? And why is B writing about her this way? Dallon could feel anger building up inside him, then he heard a car door shut 'That must be Brendon', he thought. Immediately Dallon stormed out of Urielectric, and confronted Brendon, shouting "Who's Sarah? And why have you written, what sounds like some kind of love song, about her?!" Brendon just looked at Dallon. He didn't know what to say. "Answer me God damnit!" Dallon continued, he threw the book towards Brendon's feet. "Dallon, baby, just come ins-" "No! Don't 'Dallon, baby' me! Just tell me the truth!" Interrupted Dallon. "Ok, I will. Just please, come inside." Said Brendon, trying to calm Dallon down. "Why?! Why do I need to come inside, just so you can tell me the truth?" Fought Dallon. "Because I think It'd be better if you were calm and sat down inside whilst I explain everything. Please." Begged Brendon walking towards Dallon. "Fine! Fine! I'll go inside the house as long as you promise to tell me the truth!" Continued Dallon. "Okay, I will, I promise." Said Brendon. They walked into the house together in silence, not saying a single word. Dallon walked into the kitchen and sat on a stool. "Okay then, c'mon. Who is she?" Asked Dallon. Brendon sat down on a stool next to Dallon and looked at him with a sad expression on his face. "I-I met her in a bar about a week ago. We started talking and had a few drinks and that's all. We didn't kiss. We didn't have sex. Okay? We just talk and had a couple of drinks." Explained Brendon. "Okay? So why the hell did you write a song about her? What did you talk about?" Questioned Dallon. "We just talked about our lives, y'know, family, growing up, school...And...Now." Replied Brendon. "And did you mention that you are in a relationship with me. Your boyfriend?" Dallon just stared at him. A cold, hard stare, that made Brendon feel really uncomfortable. "N-No. I didn't." Brendon looked at the floor, he couldn't bare to look his boyfriend in the eyes. "So, what did you say about now?" Asked Dallon. "I...told her that I was in a band...and that we've just come back from tour...and...that I live in a house with my two dogs..." Brendon finally made eye contact with Dallon, with sadness in them and anger and confusion in his boyfriend's. "So you didn't mention at all - or even imply - that you were in some form of relationship?!" Brendon noticed Dallon had tears in his eyes, but he was fighting back, he didn't want to cry like this in front of his boyfriend. "What made you wanna write a song about her then?" Asked Dallon. "Sh-She was so beautiful...and her smile was so..." Started Brendon. Dallon felt the tears in his eyes return and he couldn't help but let them fall. One by one, the tears began to fall, slowly, down his face. Brendon started to walk slowly towards his crying boyfriend, but Dallon put one hand to his face and the other in the air as if to tell him to stay away. He couldn't bare the thought of Brendon's touch right now. "Mesmerising and when I laid eyes on her...it was like the whole world and everyone in it stopped and it was just the two of us. She's the most beautiful woman I've seen in my life. And - I know I shouldn't be saying this, let alone feeling it, but I can't help it." Brendon noticed the hurt worsening on Dallon's face, then it was almost as if he gave up, and all Brendon could see were tears falling one by one slowly down Dallon's face. Dallon stood up and walked out of the room, he couldn't take it anymore. Brendon had no idea what to do - Should he chase after his boyfriend? Or, should he just give him space? - A part of him was telling him to not give up and fight for the one he loved. And the other was telling him that he didn't love Dallon and he should just give up. "No. No, I'm not ending this like this!" Brendon said to himself. "Dallon, please, can we just sort this out? Please? I don't wanna end things like this." Begged Brendon. "Sort what out?! There's nothing to sort out!! You're obviously in love with this girl, so we're over!" Argued Dallon. "What does that make you, huh? Well I mean you can't still identify as gay if you're in love with some girl!" He continued. "She's not just some girl! And it's not really any of your business what I identify as, is it? I mean considering you decided we're over." Fought back Brendon. "Fine! That's it! We're over! Done! Finished!" Shouted Dallon. "I'll just get my things and leave then shall I?" Asked Dallon, as he started walking upstairs. Dallon quickly gathered most of his things from the bedroom him and his boyfriend shared in a bag, went to the bathroom and grabbed what was his and quickly went downstairs. He noticed Brendon was crying, but he tried to ignore it, he didn't want to cry again. He walked straight past Brendon, who was sitting on a stool in the kitchen, crying. He grabbed his keys and went to walk out the door, but he couldn't there was a hand on his shoulder pulling his back and trying to turn him around. Then a voice. "Dallon...baby...please. I can't handle us being like this. Please? I love -" "Stop! Don't say it. You don't mean it. It'll make the situation worse...and harder for me to leave. Because, I love you...and I mean that...and it kills me to hear all of this...you...clearly in love with her...but telling me that you...you love me. It's not true, and I know it. In fact, I don't know what's worse...you standing here lying to my face, trying to tell me you love me even though you don't. Or the fact that you did all of this knowing what I went through during my last relationship...all that pain...the hurt...Now please just let me go." "Dal-" Brendon began. "If you love me...let me go." At that Dallon walked out of his and Brendon's home, got in his car, and left.
