CONFUSED II

"What are you saying Abhi?" she asked in utter shock of his words.

Abhi "Don't ask me anything further Pragya." he said with his voice almost breaking down.

"How can I not ask anything further? You have told such a big thing!" she says.

Abhi "I don't want to go further into this. Whatever had happened in my life, I am solely responsible for it."

"Haan let it be. But this thing is not a small thing and it can't be forgotten easily."

Abhi was about to leave the room when she reminded him "You didn't came by the door."

Abhi "Sorry!" he said and she asked "Why don't you tell me the whole story behind you being responsible for your parents' death?"

Abhi "It's not a story Pragya!" he said loudly which made her taken aback.

"I'm sorry again. I got to go. I don't want to disturb you hereafter." he replied.

"I know why you are behaving this way. Now that I am contemplating on whether to say yes to my dad for this alliance, you are hesitating to tell me about your past right?"

Abhi "There's nothing like that. Even if I tell you about my past, my parents won't be coming back. They are gone forever and that too because of me!"

"Abhi, listen to me!" she emphasises and at the same time, someone was knocking the door.

Abhi "Open the door. It could be your dad."

"You stay here!" she said hurriedly but he didn't listen and went towards the balcony.

She opened the door and saw Bulbul standing there.

Bulbul "Did Abhi came here?"

She sighed in response and asked her to come in.

Bulbul "He came right?"

"Yes he did and gave me a shock!" she said looking at the direction of balcony.

Bulbul "Even I am shocked of what I heard from Purab."

"You are also shocked? For what?"

Bulbul "I am shocked as Purab said HE LOVES YOU!"

"Kya? He loves me? ARE YOU MAD?" she freaked out.

Bulbul starts to cry and she asked "Why are you crying now?"

Bulbul "I was expecting he would say he loves me! How am I not suppose to cry when the person I love says he loves my friend!"

"Huh? You expected him to love you? That means you love him?"

Bulbul "It's been 5 years since I love him! But he never respond to any of my hints. I was hoping some day he will understand my love."

"5 years? And you didn't tell me a single word about this." She asked

Bulbul "I wanted to try myself. I thought it will be positive yaar....."

"Alright. Wait! I don't think Purab have such thoughts. I have never seen him behaving with me in that intention."

Bulbul "Then why did he agree to marry you? Don't say you don't know his name when the elders mention about him."

"Oh god! Is he the one? I swear Bulbul, I didn't hear his name. All my thoughts were on Abhi and how to say no to this alliance. I didn't hear his name at all even if it was mentioned."

Bulbul "I thought you knew. I was shocked to his uncle and aunt were your Dad's family friends."

"Now I won't accept for this marriage. I know it's kind of fixed but I will definitely let my dad knows that I am not interested in this." She told firmly and looked at Bulbul who was still looking worried.

"Come with me Bulbul!" she told and bring Bulbul to the living area where her dad was still there.

"Papa! I am not interested in this marriage." She told

"Why are you not interested in this?" he asked.

"Because I am in love with Abhi and that is actually Purab's friend." she said.

"Abhi.... Is he the guy who came when you were unwell?" he asked in doubt.

"Yes he is and he makes me well and unwell Papa!"

"How can I believe you love him? What if this is an excuse to stop this alliance as Purab is not from our status?" he asked.

"Papa! You feel like that? I am not into status and all." She replied

He remains silent and looks at Bulbul who was looking worried.

"Bulbul, is it true of what she is saying?"

"Haan uncle. She loves Abhi." Bulbul replied

"If that is so then I will talk to them and cancel this alliance." he said looking at Pragya.

She sighed in relief and hugged Bulbul.

"Wait! But why did Abhi told me like that?" he said.

"Like what?" she asked now wondering what he told to her dad.

"He told he is in love with Bulbul and to make sure she is not worried of her friend's health, he would like to stay and take care of you." he told

Bulbul and Pragya gasped in shock of his words.

"Papa! Is this really what he told you?" she asked

"Why should I lie Pragya? I am telling what he told me. You can ask Bulbul of that day when he said he wants to talk to me in private."

Bulbul nods her head as yes.

"Papa, just don't believe his words. He is a bit crazy when trying to convince others."

"I hope he doesn't makes you crazy though!" he said

"Papa, you believe me right? Just give us a week and we will sort out everything and show you he loves me and Purab loves her." She said looking at Bulbul.

"Purab loves her?" he asked in shock.

"Haan... He should be loving her. I mean she loves him and..."

"Love can't be forced upon others!" he told firmly.

"It's not like that Papa. She feels he will love her. She have the strong belief and just give us a week to see whether her belief comes true. Please...."

"A week?" he asked in doubt.

"Please...." both the girls pleaded and he smiled in response.

"Take as much time as you all want but make sure love is not forced on those poor boys!" he said and laughed while the girls smiled uneasily thinking of the plight they are in.

They were confused of what to do next!
