I know that Elemental Knights are not such an intimidating name for a duo of teenagers having superpowers.
But I couldn't think of any good name on spot.

All these days I had been working solo and never felt that I would need a team name. But the times have become harder.
Monsters these days are much stronger than they were two years ago when I started to discover, enhance and use it to protect people.

New types of monsters too had come up. Some immune to magic. Some immune to physical attacks.

But I am glad that I know both.
I use my mystical fire powers and combine it with my sword skills to increase the damage.

The sword was a gift I got from nowhere.
It had a silver hilt with black hand embroidered with gold.
It was strong enough to withstand magical powers.

"So can you do more than sprouting water from your hands? " I asked her.

"Well, I can conjure a weapon with water. It only lasts for a few seconds but it is quite effective." she replied.

"Well, well. I have an idea in my mind. Why don't we hold a duel so that we can assess each other's strength? " I asked with a grin.

"But I am just a novice! I am not an expert in controlling my power like you" she said.

"Don't be afraid! Just give it a try. " I told reassuringly.

"Well then,  let's begin! " she said.

I summoned my sword out of thin air, like I always do. The sword glinted in the sunshine of noon.

She conjured a dagger and a shield made up of water. But the dagger was more solid than it seemed.

I doubted that it was a real one engulfed with water.

She started out first. She propelled herself using the water and came towards me at a great speed.

I parried it with my sword and stepped aback and charged on her.

She deflected it with her shield.
I flashed behind her and thrust out my sword.

She had faster reflexes than I expected. She deflected it with her dagger and hit me in the chest with her shield.

I fell on my back. I got up grinning, "you sure are a tough opponent. But I still have a few more tricks! " I said.

The next second my sword erupted in flames. I flashed to a far off distance and charged at her with my sword that out.

She tried to block it with her shield, but the sword went right through the shield, vaporising the water.

She fell back, exhausted and breathing heavily.

"I have never fought a opponent so tough!" she said. "I admit my defeat. "

The incident went as expected.
I thought that if she just got some proper training, she could fight better.

"Well you were really a tough opponent!" I admitted.
I wondered if we fought together, then our powers would increase multiple times.
I also wondered if there were other people having superpowers like us, and if they would join us,we could be unstoppable.

"I wonder if you have someone apart from me having superpowers" I asked gently, helping her get on her feet.

"No not yet" she said.

"Very well, I was just wondering if we could find others who are similar to us and make them our allies so that we can protect the world together, with more power!" I said.

"That is a good idea! " she agreed.

"Well then,  we will set of to our first quest of finding the other 'to-be' members of the Elemental Knights."
I exclaimed.

"You are way to optimistic."she commented."We are not sure that there are other people having superpowers. "she told.

"Well ,ideas thinking the same until I met you" I replied.

Suddenly the weather changed. It became dark and windy. Black clouds filled the sky with a slight drizzle of rain.
We could see a storm forming.
But something was not right. The winds were blowing towards the eye of the storm which we could clearly see.

"I sense something is not right" she said nervously.

"I too have the same feeling" I replied.
"Come let us go and check it out" I said.

With that we started running towards the storm. Little did we know what was awaiting us!!!
