Kim Namjoon had been away from his parents for so long, he completely forgot about the life that went on outside his home. The area had become cleaner than the last time he visited. Not to mention his neighbors seemed to be in a better mood when he showed up. All night long people came to his door with plates of food in their hands. They weren't this giving, maybe it's because of his fame. His group's album had done remarkably better this year and their popularity started to grow. It was exhausting, to say the least. But he did it for the fans. He only had a few days to relax, and he planned on spending them wisely. Both his parents were busy for the day so there was nothing planned for him.

When he heard the front door open, at first he thought his mother returned to pick up something she left behind. But the female voice he heard was not his mother's. When he heard the voice yell out "Monie!" he thought some crazy fan broke into his home. Scared, he grabbed his phone and called his manager. It was still pretty early so the first call didn't go through. Quietly, he made his way out the room to see what the intruder looked like. She was young, probably around the same age as him, and carrying his dog's leash.

Apparently she seemed relaxed when she saw him, calling him Mr. Kim. But his thoughts were cut when his phone buzzed to see his manager calling him. He accepted the call saying, "I think someone broke into my home, but I'm not sure. Stay on the line in case something happens."

When he crept his way down the steps, he saw the female crouched beside his dog asking if he wanted some breakfast. He felt his heart beating fast and was pretty damn nervous with every step. When the girl finally faced him, she screamed. "Namjoon! Namjoon what happened?!" his manager yelled through the phone. "Who are you?!" he yelled. "What are you doing in my parents' home?!"

In an odd turn of events, she seemed to relax and actually smile at him. She bowed to him and explained she was Rapmonie's dogsitter. He didn't remember his parents telling him that. With is heart rate now slowing down, he ended the phone call. "Oh," his cheeks tinted a bit, "Sorry. I wasn't expecting company," he responded.

Sojung, as she introduced earlier, was quite the girl. She was straightforward with him and kept her composure. She didn't seem to be nervous around him. It was a bit refreshing. He enjoyed not having someone invade his personal space and squabble incoherent words at him. She continued to talk about his dog. Remembering how much his dog would reject his actions of love, he watched as the two were very close to one another. "It seems you're the reason my dog hates me," he stated. He can admit, he was a bit jealous.

The female rejected the idea and went on to praise Rapmonie, as if he were perfect. A lightbulb went off in Namjoon's head. He decided he didn't want to stay home. He wanted to go out and, for some reason, prove to her how betraying his dog can be.

After he changed into his attire for the day, he joined the two downstairs.

"Alright, lets get going" he said. Sojung nodded her head and started walking out the house.

"Well I planned on going to a stream nearby, if you don't mind?" she said while locking the door behind her.

"Sounds perfect," he said.

While walking, they went on about his career. Sojung didn't listen to much kpop and preferred western music.

"Adele is my favorite singer. I've been teaching myself how to the play her songs on the piano. And I learned English as well to sing the songs," she proudly said.

"Oh really? Wow, you're pretty talented. You could be a performer," he complimented her.

"Oh I'm not really passionate about music. I mostly do that for fun. I'm more passionate about working with children. I want to work in a daycare and slowly become a teacher. I love kids. I want to have my own someday. And the man I marry will be perfect," she said while looking off. She had a faint blush on her cheeks and her eyes held hope.

Namjoon noticed her gaze and his lips curved up. "How are you so sure?" he asked.

"Because I know I will choose the right man. My future is in my hands. My husband will support me and my children," she said. She turned to him with her doe eyes and something his parents said last night resurfaced.

'Everyone here loves Doe Eyes. When you meet her, be kind to her. She'll make a great impression on you,' his mother's words echoed in his head. Sojung waved her hand in front of his face, seeing he was trapped in a daydream.

"Earth to Namjoon. Is everything alright?" she asked him. Rapmonie was barking at their feet and Namjoon gained his consciousness.

"Yes yes. Just remembered something," he said and averted her gaze. 'So she must be Doe Eyes,' he thought to himself.

"Well I hope it was important," she said and continued the trek.

Namjoon strode back to her and followed her to wherever their destination was. Being away from home was an odd feeling. It seemed that whenever he came back, either something has changed or nothing at all. The stream she spoke out about earlier didn't ring any bells. Maybe it's either he's never heard of it's existence or it was newly found. Whatever the case may be, he stilled loved learning about his little town. While walking, Rapmonie would stop to do his business and Sojung would pick it up without disgust. And when she told the dog to sit and stay, he'd obey immediately.

"How come you never listen to me?" he asked his pooch.

"Hm?" Sojung hummed, wondering what he meant.

"Him. He always turns his back to me when I ask him something. It's like he's deaf," Namjoon whined.

"Aw come on. There's no need to pout," Sojung teased.

"I am not pouting," Namjoon said while looking down at his dog.

"If you say so."
