Chapter 3 hey guys, thanks for everything! sorry i haven’t described Mason yet, trying to find a good spot.
Joseph was in and out all day, working on different biotech. It wasn’t long till I decided to take a walk. The streets were filled with refugees from the bombing. Everyone looked at me the same way, with fear. I knew what i had done was weird but it felt.. good. I soon felt the stares unbearable and walked back to the shelter of the cabin. Joseph wasn’t working on someone out front, but I could hear him talking in the back. their conversation was dispersed and I didn’t catch all the words.
“It’s his choice ya can’t make him do nothin’, his future is for him to decide.” Joseph was talking, his voice trembling.
The voice came with a rasp, straightening out to a deep and dark tone. “His future would be wasted if he didn’t come with us.”
On that note I barged in, looking for the man who had spoken and it wasn’t hard to find. The man was at least 6 inches taller with a pair of shoulders that belonged to an ox, a cyborg biotech ox. His arms were both biotech matching two metal trees that were stapled to a man. “And why would that be.”
The man’s face was somewhat surprised but he turned to face me and replied. “because we’re going into war and if you stay here our forces will go without a leader. Someone who-”
“Get out.”
“Excuse me?”
“I said get the hell out.”
The man started to go and turned at the door “We leave in two days.”
“I said no, what are you expecting? Good bye muffins?” I retort, walking to the trembling old man.
The man leaves, the door swinging shut behind him.
“Boy, ya either damn stupid, or just brave.” Joseph looked into my eyes. “He’s a man of powah.” There was a small silence until joseph got up and grabbed a blanket. “You should think about what ya be doing next Mason.”
I didn’t know what to say, the man’s face seemed almost... familiar.
