"Come on Luz, you step with your left and then lift your right leg, keep your hands in boxing position, and you just raise your right leg and kick the dolls

head." Rosko said 'You can do this, come on Luz you got this.' I said in my head.

Hands in fists and in boxing position, step with left leg first and lift right leg and hit! "Did I do it right?" I asked trying again he started chuckling and nodded, "Now, let's just take the doll away and try it on me." he said.

"Ready, go!"

I stepped forward with my left leg and kicked with my right, he stopped my foot from hitting him and held it there. "Oh shit." I said as he grabbed my leg and lifted it higher "Use your brain Luz!" he demanded without thinking, not a single thought in my mind, I jumped up off my left leg and kicked his chest he let go of my leg and fell as did I. 

"Whoa, shit." he said looking in awe as I stood up, "It just came to mind." I chuckled as I held out my hand for him to take,

"Oh really?" he said with a devious voice i raised my eyebrow as I helped him up.

"How about you not think then."

he said we got back in boxing position. "Go!" he said as he charged at me, 'Don't think.' I told myself his left hand went first I blocked and then his right I ducked down. "Yeah there you go!" he said as he backed away, "Again." he chuckled.

"Nice job out there kid." Rosko said, "Next time, don't just be the victim." I sighed and sat down on the couch in the living room.

"That was exhausting."

"That's just the start."

I groaned I didn't think being a demon would be this hard, "I'm gonna die." he chuckled "Then I'll die with you." the dog barked making me jump.

"So what's with the dog?" I asked looked at it, "Well you see I'm not gonna be here much, I'll be at the races a lot more often now cause apparently the cops and he'll be here with you." he explained I nodded and stood up and walked to him, he was so calm I put out my hand he sniffed it and licked it and leaned his head into my palm.

"We're gonna be good friends." I said aloud Rosko started laughing, "Tomorrow you have a race at 10:30, don't be late." he said I nodded "I gotta go talk to dad, I'll be back later." I said as I grabbed a jacket and my helmet and headed out the door.

"Hey dad, how you doing?" I said as I knelt down he was standing over he, "I'm well and you?"

"I'm just confused, if I'm a demon, how come I don't have powers yet?" I asked looking up at him he sighed and kept down with me. "Some times humans mess up and you were human at the time and I didn't want people to take you away." he said I nodded in agreement.

"So when do I get my powers?"

"So eager you are." he chuckled "You'll get them when you are ready or at least in danger." he said I sighed, "You know, I hear that CJ boy is thinking of asking another girl out soon." he said I froze and blushed, heart broken too "What?.." I wanted to cry "Yep, he's gonna ask out

Kenzie next." he said as he grabbed me and held me in his arms, "Its okay, he'll brake up with her anyways, I mean that's what he's done to every girl." I felt safe and calm in his arms it was good.

"What am I gonna do till then?"

"Well, today was okay? I mean the whole jacket thing was a start but you gotta do more." he said I cocked my head in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Play hard to get that's what men want, they want a girl who is sweet and kind but naughty for them only. Men want a good girl who is bad for them in a good way. That's what you are, he just doesn't see it yet." he said I blushed as he let me go, "Thanks dad." I said he nodded "Why don't you get going after all you have school tomorrow and a race."

"I'm guessing Rosko told you?"

"You know how he is." he chuckled I did too as I got my helmet and got on my bike and drove off.
