Just A Dream

The clock read 2:30 when Saeran read it, and it didn't take a genius to figure out whether it was in the afternoon or not since it was so quiet.

The hospital room was dark and the moonlight just barely light up the room. Time was moving painfully slow and every little sound was louder than the last but he figured that was just how the nighttime worked.

He had been deciding whether or not he should go to sleep or just wait until morning. In the end he decided that sleeping would allow him to see the bright blue sky faster.

He never had a problem with the night sky, quite the opposite actually, it was just on days like today the moon felt so out of reach he couldn't help but feel slightly upset looking at it. And so, he closed his eyes and headed for whatever nightmare awaited him next.

However, he was met with nothing but white, and oddly enough he found it strangely comforting.

Soon flowers started to appear, each with the same pure white petals as what he guessed would be considered the sky. Not long after that, the pure white 'sky' turned into the bright blue he was hoping to see right before he went to sleep.

In the middle of it all were two figures, a girl wearing a white dress who he swore he'd seen before and a boy with a white suit who he recognized was himself, they were dancing along to what sounded like a sad yet familiar song.

This went on for a while with him occasionally tripping and the girl helping him back up, not laughing or anything just smiling and continuing to dance with him.

The scene felt all too familiar but he couldn't point his finger on why. Then, they proceeded to lie down on the flowers and just stare at the sky.He just watched what looked like a happier version of himself with a girl he couldn't recognize. He wouldn't dare to admit this out loud but he was quite jealous of this other him.

After what felt like twenty minutes the scene slowly started fading. The morning came with him waking up wishing he would could just stay there forever.

These dreams continued on for the next couple days with each one varying in what the two would do. Such as the one when the girl was climbing a tree while he was face palming and asking her to get down, in the end she fell on him, that dream made him smile a little when he woke up.

Then one day when his 'brother' Saeyoung came and brought his girlfriend for the first time, he finally realized something. The girl in his dreams was his brother's girlfriend.

His heart broke at that realization however, it didn't surprise him. His brother always stole everything from him, and clearly this girl he'd only met in his dreams was one of them. Besides, they both looked so happy he couldn't complain.

After all, it was all just a dream.
