"Talia, get down from there before mom sees!" Hissed my big brother, I just giggled and ran away. "Talia! Mom will shout at us, it's nearly curfew."

"Awww is big Dylan scared of the dark, scary forest!" I mocked.

"No," he frowned "but I am scared of the rouges." I thought for a moment,

"Catch me if you can!" I yelled.

"Talia no!" Dylan shouted, I giggled and ran deeper into the forest.

"Talia! Watch out!" I to see Dylan horror-stricken expression, only to trip over a tree root and fall.

I hear growling behind me and slowly turn to face the source, a grey wolf looms over my shaking form. I see him hunch, preparing to pounce. I am frozen in place.

I hear an outraged growl and a shaggy brown wolf jumps in front of me, Mom. I feel someone dragging back in the direction of the pack house, I snap of my daze and start to kick and scream.

"No! Let me go! Mommy!" I cry tears streaming down my face as Dylan carried me further away from the bloodied heap that was now my mother.

My father ran outside and yelled at me, "What have you done!" He sobbed, "You took her from me, you are no daughter of mine."

I felt my six year old heart splinter into pieces, I had just lost my mom and she took my dad with her.

Dylan dragged me up the stairs to the attic and stared at me in disgust, "This is all your fault, I hate you!" He screamed, "If you weren't such a selfish brat she would still be alive!"

He raised his hand and slapped me across the cheek. Then walked out leaving me alone with the ghosts in the shadows.
