Screams resounded through the halls of the sacred order, each sound bouncing off of the castles stone walls in the dead of night. Each scream grew louder as the last until all was peaceful, no voices were heard, only quiet in the dead of night.

A woman lay gasping in a four poster bed, dark blood recoloring the sheets and dots of perspiration tumbling down her skin like rain. Her vision was blurry and she could see a silhouette holding a small bundle.

She smiled tenderly when delicate cries filled the room "Let me see my child" she choked out hoarsely as a birthing assistant held the small bundle in her arms. The birthing assistant got some distance from her and left the room.

The young woman watched as the specialist left and a tear slid down her cheek "wait! where are you going? where are you taking my baby?" she shouted, reaching for her child that the woman had already taken from her. She closed her eyes and felt the wounds from labor already start to heal, she went to sit up properly but chains confined her to small movements; she let out a substantial breath before she felt tears overflow from her eyes. She cried unobtrusively to herself and prayed for her mate but was hindered by the presence of a strong aura in the room.

the lady gazed upward and saw a shrouded shadow by her window "Casimir" she breathed out, "I want to see my child" she said in a loud and determined voice.

Looking at the man who matched the intrusive aura, his dim dark colored hair and penetrating blue eyes gazed into her spirit just adding to his intimidating presence . "Amanda you know you won't be a major part of it's life, for what reason should you see your youngster?" his profound voice thundered out sternly.

Amanda looked down with tears pooling in her eyes "Darius was your friend and companion, you ought to enable his mate to name her child before I am to pass on" she whispers. Casimir swung to confront the window and looked as the moon shone brilliant over the patio nurseries outside, everything was quiet as he contemplated to himself

"at least reveal to me what my child is" she beseech'ed him.

He sighed to himself and looked down angrily, "she has your eyes, and she resembles her father" he said sternly "you may hold her and feed her once, at that point she is to go to her new home. What's more, when the sun rises and your healing stops, you will join Darius in damnation" he turned and gave her one final look before vanishing from the room.

Amanda leaned her head back on the headboard of the bed and smiled even though in her black heart she could feel nothing but pain and anguish "Darius my love, if you can hear me know i will join you soon. Our daughter will not be punished for our sins" she whispered heart brokenly.

As the sun started to rise and shine light through her window , Amanda could feel her healing abilities slowing. As an hour passed Amanda began to feel as though Casimir would not let her see her newborn daughter before she was to be sent to her death.

Her body weakened further as her healing stopped, the damage from her birth allowing her to bleed out slowly. Amanda began to panic and started thrashing on the bed, doing anything in the hopes that she could get to her child in time to see her. the more she struggled against her binds the weaker she became until she lay still in the bed, her breathing becoming shallow as her life force slowly started to dissipate.

the silence in the room rung in her ears and she became lost in her thoughts.

Just as Amanda began to give up hope of ever seeing her daughter, the infant was brought into the room by a servant, the girl looked at Amanda with disdain and handed her the child and vanished from the room.
