Claude sat back in his seat, stroking his chin in deep thought as he flickered his cobalt gaze out the window. He sighed. Death filled the streets under the blistering hot sun greatly, along with mutants that roamed around during the summer. It was dangerous. But in order to survive this horrible earth he now stands on, he'll have to take risks. He pointed at the corner of their little town on the map, indicating what route he'll want Telle and Axel to go on to gather supplies.
"I want them to go this way Cyra." Claude muttered, tapping his finger several times on the exact spot. " It's the closest shop to us."
Claude was nervous. He felt the butterflies flutter all around in his stomach every time one of the team members ask for his advice and orders. He was the new Leader ever since the last one died...and he knew his new position would take quite a lot of getting used to.
Cyra sighed and plopped down on a stool, grabbing the red colored marker and pointed at the small red line marking the path for Telle and Axel.
"No,They must go this way. It's much safer. They're not gunna go pass our boarder lines just because it's faster Claude!" Cyra protested, glaring at Claude with her piercing jade green eyes.
Claude let's out a deep sigh, followed by numerous curses under his breath.
"Fine." He breathes, messaging his temples with his two fingers.
Claude springs up to his feet, giving Cyra a quick nod, "I'll inform the two about the mission." He makes his way down the the dark hall way, eyeing the ceiling as the lights flicker on and off creating an eerie atmosphere. His head throbs as his mind races about how little food is left and what they would do when it ran out completely.
"Telle! Axel!" Barks Claude impatiently, folding his arms across his chest.
The blonde approaches him with a ladle in hand, symbolizing that he was cooking something for dinner tonight. "Hm? What's cracking, Boss?" He inquired his superior, cocking an eyebrow.
But before Claude could say anything he noticed that the short brunette, Telle was no where to be seen. "Where's Te-"
Suddenly he felt 2 arms collapse on his shoulders, startling him a bit. Telle. She was always so unpredictable.. "Pfft. Jumpy now are we?" The short brunette jokingly sang, her signature sly grin plastered her face as she made her self stand by Axel's side. "Well now that I'm here...start talking," Telle says, her grin disappearing, replacing it with a serious complexion.
"You two are going to have quite a serious mission on your hands." Claude began, " I need you guys to meet me at my room at exactly 5 am tomorrow morning. We will discuss your mission there." Claude says firmly, as the two teens exchanged confused glances.
"Understood?"
"Yes Claude." They say together, then turning away back into the kitchen whispering quietly to each other.
Claude turns on his heels, now approaching his room he shares with Wade at the other end of the hallway. He froze in his tracks for a moment, as his lips crack a small smile as he hears the sounds of Lyle and Blake's giggles from the other room right next to them. "Those two are inseparable " he mumbles under his breath, peeking through their half open door, only to find the little boy laughing with joy. If only Claude could still be happy in this situation of the world like Lyle was.
If only.

"Hah. Has the Princess come for his beauty sleep?" Wade jokes, setting the magazine he was previously reading onto the coffee table.
Claude shoots Wade a serious glare as Wade grins, at his success of annoying his best friend.
"Just shut the heck up." Claude mumbles as he soon drifted to sleep.
