So Smash was like the best show ever on NBC, EVER!!! Ivy Lynn was very relatable to me. She's been in ensemble for a long time and wants her big break to come (same as I am I've been in the ensemble for a long time.) And it's incredible how passionate she is about Marilyn. She is as passionate about Marilyn as I am about theatre. Ivy is pretty much the older version of me. In every musical you have been in including Smash there has always been that one song that sticks out to me. But in Smash there were two songs. The first song was Let Me Be Your Star, this particular song I felt sort of described me in different ways it was incredible. The second song was Don't Forget Me. The first verse was always very important to me. "They thought they could dispose of me. They tried to make me small." Well you know the song. Halfway through my 7th grade year I decided that if I want to be a performer when I'm older I should start now. So I switched to a school where fine arts was an option. I used to sing Don't Forget Me to myself because the kids at my old school tried to make me feel small but I rose above it.
