chapter nine

"Kronos, please you are giving her too much leeway. She is using you and not giving you anything in return," A woman with light gray eyes said as she followed the man down the hallway.

"Rogue, she is my sister. I can't abandoned her. Even if she only uses me," The man says and looks back at the petite woman, " And, you can call me by my name, we are alone."

The woman's heart skipped beat and she tossed her long black hair to the side, "Okay then, B/n, call me by mine, too," The woman said flirtatiously. She grabbed his hand, and tried to put it around and on her waist.

"Would love to do this, but there's no time. I have to get to y/n, to fix that building and to talk with her," B/n said while snatching his hand away, "stay here and watch over the place, make sure no one destroys the training center," The girl just nodded and stood in the middle of the hallway while B/n continued on.

The woman waved to him when he got to the elevator and the doors started to close, "He never has time or wants to do anything with me anymore..." she whispered as the door closed and a tear slide down her cheek. She walked back to his office, determined to finish his paperwork so he would be impressed with her whenever he came back.

"Wow, this is actually really good, kero," Asui said while taking a bite of her burger.

"I know right, McDonald's is one of the best fast food places ever," Taylor said while eating. She and Via were treating the U.A. students to lunch since they had nothing else to do, "Enjoy this since you guys have to cook your own food when your at school. The academy will provide food but won't cook anything for you guys."

Everyone groaned while Taylor just laughed, simply stating that 'it's not that bad'. Midoriya was a little preoccupied, thinking about what happened at Tower E. Suddenly, he heard shuffling beside him. He looked to the left to see Via with a smile.

"What's wrong, Midoriya? You look troubled," Via said while eating a chicken nugget. Deku just sighed.

"Who was that girl at Tower E who you and Taylor were screaming at? It seems like you were scared of her since you ran away from her in the first place, " Midoriya said while looking at her. Via started to laugh while holding her chest.

"Ohhhh, that's just Y/n, she's my best friend. She's rank no.1 at the academy. I'm not scared of her, I just has a suspicion that she was in a bad mood and I didn't want to be around if she was."

"Rank no.1?"

"Yeah, here at our school, we measure everyone's potential to be a great hero. It goes by three levels, level 1 being strongest, level 3 being weakest, and each level ranks the students inside of it. Y/n is on level 1 rank no.1 for being the most potential candidate at our school. We refer to it has 1.1,"

"What's your spot then? And doesn't this rank system kind of enable bullying for the weaker students" Midoriya said, twirling his fingers. Bullying was a subject always on his mind because of how he was bullied for being quirkless way back then.

"I'm a 1.4, and I don't think there's any bullying for the most part. If any student is caught bullying another person for their position, then they automatically switch ranks and can't change their rank for at least 3 months. It depends on the severity of the teasing."

"I'm sorry for asking so many questions but do the U.A. students have to get a rank? And how do you guys decide that?"

"Yeah, you guys have to get a rank. You all have to take a placement test that involves two parts. Part one is a written test on effective strategies and components of being a hero. The second part is a one on one fight with the strongest person at the school, whoever holds 1.1. You'll be evaluated on how long you last or if you beat them, and the strategies you use during the fight."

Midoriya said with surprise, "so that means we're all-"

"Yeppers, that means you're all fighting Y/n individually," Via said while taking another chicken nugget, "We'll see how long you last,"
