Chapter 5

Madara's POV

I left the room with a slam of the door. I wanted this to work out because I knew she would prove to be very useful to me. But it wouldn't work if this kept happening, so I decided I had to make it up to her.

I went in the small kitchen and pulled out some things. I wasn't the greatest at this sort of thing...but it doesn't hurt to try.

I was a mess. The kitchen was a disaster...there was all kinds of shit everywhere but at least I was done...Everything looked great and smelled great but I just hope it was all worth it.

I walked to the room and knocked on the door.

I heard some shuffling before she responded. "Hm." Wow I worked hard for that didn't I...

"When you're done in there, there's food on the table."

"Thanks.."

I left and gathered some dishes, setting the table.

I heard the door open and she came out. She had a blank expression on her face as she shuffled slowly in the room. Her face brightened up as she saw the variety of food on the table.

"Madara..you did all th-?" She looked up at me and started laughing.

"What's so funny? Nobody ever said I can't cook.."

"N-no, it's not..it's not that! You-You're a mess!" She collapsed onto her knees laughing. I don't think this was worth it.

"So what of it? Just sit down and eat. I didn't make all this for nothing."

"S-sorry, it's just that I didn't expect this out of someone...well with a reputation of your own..you put a rainbow of foods on the table, and honestly I expected just some badly roasted fish, but you made curry, tempura, and all kinds of shit. Hell, you even made dango and makizushi! But now you have messy hair and flour everywhere and I just-" She cracked a laugh again before sitting down. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine...Honestly it's expected for anyone to think that. And I should warn you I don't know if this is gonna be good, you're right and my reputation isn't from cooking. But I want our team to work so I wanted to apologize to you for what I said so I hope it's at least halfway decent."

"Uh..thank you..?"

"You seem skeptical...What's wrong?"

"I..could ask the same from you. Why is the Madara Uchiha being nice to a random person he found in the woods?"

I thought for a minute...how do I tell her without being weird.....

"Well?"

"Because I need you."
