"Wake up, sleeping beauty."

I rolled away from my boyfriend, groaning as he attempted to pull the covers from my body.  My mom liked to keep it cold in the house.  That being said, I usually dressed in just underwear and a thin tank top to sleep in and bundled up in my heavy feather comforter.  I liked to be warm, but not too warm... but I also didn't like to be cold.  Right now, my boyfriend was attempting to wake me up by removing my shield from the cold.  Usually, he either did that or just wrapped his body around mine until I got too hot and was forced to get up to get away from him.

"Senior year! Senior year! Senior year!" He chanted over and over, standing up off of the bed and tugging harder at the sheets.  Our game of tug-o-war with my comforter usually lasted a while.  After this many rounds, I was surprised the cloth hadn't ripped and the feathers hadn't exploded all over my room.  I knew this morning, the first day of our last year of high school, the tug-o-war couldn't last for too long, but I wasn't about to lose this one.

"Come on, Em."

"No."

"Emalia."

"Stoooop," I mumbled, pulling harder.

"Emmmmmaaaaliiiiaaaaa...."

"LOUIS!" I let go of the comforter, forcing Louis to fall back into the wall and to his butt.  I laughed as he pushed the comforter off of him and pouted.  When I fell back into the pillows on my bed and shivered, Louis jumped back onto the bed and straddled me, wrapping his arms under my neck and kissing my cheek.

"First day, first day of of of of of senior Y-E-A-R," he sang, shaking the bed back and forth.

"That was horrible," I grumbled into the pillow.

Louis laughed.  "Well I'm no professional singer or anything..."  He kissed my cheek again as the door to my room opened.

"Louis! I didn't know you were here," my mom said cheerfully, tilting her head and grinning as she watched him try and tickle my sides.  I shoved his bare stomach until he fell off the far side of the bed and sat up to look at my mother.

"I came in through the window last night," Louis admitted.

My mom gasped and shook her head.  "I don't know why you feel like you can't use the front door."

Louis shrugged and grinned at me.  "Makes me feel less grown-up, I suppose."

"I brought you breakfast, Em.  Well, I guess the two of you can share," my mother said, walking further into my room and placing a tray of pancakes and strawberries onto the dresser.  Louis jumped up immediately and picked the wedgie from his boxers as he looked over the plate and licked his lips.  I scowled as I caught my mother looking him up and down, pulling her bathrobe more tightly around her and smirking at me.  My mother and I were close... a little too close for some people's comfort.  She was more like a sister to me and we definitely had our issues.  It seemed like once a week, I had to be sure to let her know that my friends - and my boyfriends - were completely off limits to her.  I tried not to get myself too involved in her romantic life because sometimes, it got weird.  She was great though and I loved her to death.  Well, for the most part.

Louis and I had been dating for about two years now.  We were best friends for a year before and finally decided it would be fun to make out at a party when we were drunk.  After waking up in the same bed together naked, we tried dating.... and contrary to what usually happens in those situations, it worked out nicely.  He slept over a lot and was completely comfortable in boxers around anyone.  I mean, his parts were covered, so did it matter?  He had about 14 brothers and sisters, some who I had never even seen a day in my life, so his parents hardly noticed his absence from the house.  Since my mom was only dealing with me, she didn't mind supplying for an extra mouth.
