It took it's own sweet time but its here,

but first let me tell you a story.

The library was bright that morning the sun rising through the window, casting a long shadow of its wooden frame across the ground, giving the silent graveyard of books an airy feel. Although the illusion of the outside was revealed by the sun's light shining on the specks of dust floating around the room.

Amount the rigid spines of books a few people could be seen moving about the room silently, taking books back and forth, before finding the one they would read for the next few hours and sit down to read.

I enjoyed the silence although growing up in Vacuo you think I would be going mad with the deafening silence. Instead, I enjoyed the ability to sit and think. The reading, on the other hand, was not as good as I had hoped.

I could read sure but not like the people I sat among, they would pick up a book and as soon as I turned the next page of my book I would hear them get up and go for another.

The thought of that lingered for a moment and then was suddenly broken by the sound of "may I sit here?" Looking up I saw a pair of yellow eyes staring at me slightly covered by her black fringe that was being healded back by a little black bow. "Of course" 6rr4h I say jesting to the seat opposite me "thanks," she said in a bland tone with a thud of the pile of books she was carrying.

It was at this point I noticed the room was almost full, so the shock of a person that wanted to sit beside me quickly faded and looking at the mountain of books this girl had brought, so faded my enthusiasm for reading.

I try to keep focused on the book in my hand but at the snail's pace, I'm going at it's hard not to feel a little of place. Especially when the girl sitting across from me that is already on her third book.

As time passes and night quickly approaching, one by one everyone else in the room packs up their stuff, returns their book, and leaves, until all that is left is me and the girl with the little black bow.

Soon enough Glinda comes around and asks us to leave "I'm glad you finally took some time to read a book Y/N but it would be nice if I could go home sometime today, the same to you Blake" I close over my book now seeing just how late it really was "oh sorry I didn't realize what time it was." I say a bit downtrodden about not finishing the book I was on. It wasn't a very interesting book, just went on about how a girl found a beast living in a castle then something about a curse and true love. Either way, I don't think I really want to finish it.

I go to leave when something catches my attention, the slight sound of turning pages, still coming from inside the room. I go back into the room searching for its source only to find my self standing beside the girl with the black bow, still reading, it was like she had just sat down. I want to say something but I found myself just staring at her. Just like something about her was so perfect. Peacefull even.

"em sorry, Blake was it? Glinda said we really should be going-" before I could react she leaps up out of her seat pouncing on me, pinning me to the floor of the silent library. "I'm not going back!" she screams at me her pinpoint pupils fixed on mine, breathing heavy, panicked even. she raises a hand ready to land a blow but stops at the apex as her fist begins to shiver. Her pupils dilate back to their original state and as her near golden eyes start to dart around the room. The library goes back to its silent observation as the girls get up and run off muttering apologies as she runs.

Now sitting there watching her figure disappear into the dark hallway, as the adrenaline drains from after my scare causing my own hand to start shaking in a similar manner to how hers had, only moments before.  "what the hell just happened"  I think to my self still sitting in the library listening to the silence of the books around me. Yet my flashes of those panicked eyes, keep me wondering about her. "what have those eyes seen?"
