I woke up slowly not wanting to wake up Avery. I walked into my bathroom because yes, every room in this house had its own personal bathroom. I wonder how many more rooms are in this place.. I decided to take a shower before Avery woke up. The water made me relax when I started to think about the day ahead. I told myself that I would be someone different, I didn’t want to be the same closed up person who didn’t talk to anyone. I just wanted to be more open about myself. I should be more careless because life is about living it not restricting yourself from it. So with that thought in mind I got out the shower and walked over to my closet to pick out some clothes to wear. I didn’t have much so I ended up with jeans and a white t-shirt.
I had forgotten that Avery was still asleep but when I turned to where the bed is I saw that it was empty.
“Avery must’ve gone to her room to get herself ready as well.” I said to myself.
I hear a knock at the door, and I’m assuming it’s her. But much to my surprise it was Austin, the bad boy of the family. I hadn’t even paid attention to him yesterday but damn that boy was pretty darn sexy, and he knew it. He had dark blonde hair that made me just want run my hands through it, don’t think like that Imani, he wasn’t very tall for his age. He was younger than me by a year so that makes him umm what, dammit I can’t even think straight around him, oh yeah that makes him 16. He had a toned body and it looked like he went to the beach very often since they live so close to it. Maybe just maybe he is a surfer.
I snapped myself out of it because I noticed that he was also staring at me which made me feel self-conscious.
“Can I help you with something Austin?” I snapped at him, giving him a dirty look.
“No just go down for breakfast we are all waiting for you, I wanted to eat without you but my mom made me come up here.”
“Ewww rude much!”
He just turned his back to me and walked away.
I decided to just put my black hair up because it was way too long for me to do anything with it at the moment.

We were on our way to the mall, well the girls that is, the boys stayed behind doing God knows what. I heard Avery and Ashley talking but I drowned them out not wanting to listen. So I started to think about breakfast and how this family is one of a kind. Every single one of Nancy’s kid is different, I confirmed that Austin was a surfer indeed, Aiden on the other was more of a pretty boy that liked to always have his hair and clothes perfectly done. Aiden was a sweetheart and I wouldn’t mind being in his arms. Wait what am I thinking first in the morning with Austin and now wit Aiden, what are these boys doing to me. Ok back to reality, Ashley was always dressed in black but she made it look cuter than most girls I’ve seen. It’s like she added her own style to it, Avery dressed in bright colors which expressed her personality perfectly. I think that’s the only way that I can tell apart, by the way that they dress, they both have blonde hair that stops just below their shoulders, Avery has light brown streaks in her hair. They are both around 5’7 they could be models if they wanted to. We arrived at a mall that looked like it was 5 stories high and I could already feel Avery pulling me through one of the entrances. We went into a lot of different stores and I told myself that I wouldn’t get any jeans I already have enough at home. But I also told myself that I didn’t want to be the same person anymore so I will be trying my best to not wear jeans very often so everything that I got at the mall where either skirts, shorts, and dresses.
We were all hungry so we decided to eat at the mall’s food court.
“I don’t even know what I’m in the mood to eat.” Avery said.
“Oh just pick something already!” Ashley spit out.
“Ok ok, I guess we can eat Chinese if that’s ok with everyone.”
“That’s fine by me.” I said.
While we were eating..
“I can’t believe you didn’t get not one pair of jeans Imani” Nancy spoke up.
“Well I’m just trying to change a bit and I’m trying to be more girly Mrs. Anderson”
“That’s good but you shouldn’t worry you are beautiful just the way you are and I told you call me Nancy ok sweetie.”
“Thanks Mrs. Ande.. I mean Nancy and thank you for everything.” I said giving her a shy smile.
“No need to thank me you are like my daughter now so if you need anything just let me know. Oh and you will be getting a credit card in the mail ok, that way you don’t need to ask Leo or myself for money.”
All the while I saw that Ashley was giving me a really dirty look but I ignored her because she was obviously jealous.
“Thanks Nancy but is it really necessary..”
She cut me of short saying “yes we believe it’s necessary all our kids have one just in case.”
With that we headed home and Avery pulled me straight to me room while I yelled out “Thanks again Nancy.”
We got inside my room and threw everything on the bed, sat down and she started talking
“Ok so everything for tomorrow is already planned, I left my brothers in charge of taking care of everything for your birthday tomorrow.”
“That’s why they stayed home to plan everything. That was nice of them”
“Well no actually, I had to make them because they owed me a favor.”
“Oh ok then thanks to you then.” I said laughing
Dinner time came around and we went downstairs to eat. We ate everything quickly because we had girl things to do to be ready for tomorrow.
While getting up from the table I turn towards Ashley “Did you want to join us I want to spend more time with you.”
She looked annoyed “If you insist, I suppose I should spend more time with you as well.”
With that we all went upstairs and started doing our nails and face masks.
“So twins do either of you have a boyfriend?” I asked.
“Eww don’t call us twins.” They both said at the same time.
I couldn’t help but laugh at them.
“I have a boyfriend, his name is Kevin and he is a senior.” Ashley said to me.
“I don’t have a boyfriend nor do I want one at the moment.” Avery said while Ashley was giving her a weird look.
I ignored it and continued on to what we were doing. This is how our night continued and tomorrow we had all planned to cut our hair for my birthday. Avery slept with me in my bed again and Ashley left to her room. Till tomorrow then..
