Josh's Pov:
I walked down the stairs slowly as I was still tired and wasn't fully awake yet.
By that I mean I hadn't had a coffee.
Once I made it downstairs I saw the beautiful sight of my boyfriend,Simon.(A/N:Does that even make sense)
You see:Simon is different to most people.He's a mute.He hasn't spoke in the last 8 years after everything was not going well in his life.I've known him since the young age of 8 and he stopped speaking at the age of 14.I'm gonna be honest,
I miss his voice.
I miss his laugh.
We still have some form of communication as we both know a little sign language and he smiles when he likes something and frowns when he doesn't.
When I had finally walked into the Kitchen, I saw him sat down eating breakfast.I went up behind him and ruffled his hair.He looked up and smiled at me with his beautiful smile.As we were eating breakfast I would tell him about things I wanted to talk about and he nodded if he agreed with me.As soon as we were both finished he climbed into my arms and we cuddled for a while in silence.
Not an awkward silence, just a peaceful one.
After a while Simon signed to me
"Do you miss my voice?"
I replied "Of course I do"
"I'd like to start speaking again"
"I'm willing to help you with whatever you need love" I kindly said
