:Point of View - Colossus:
In the lands known as Stoneclaw Highlands, I was born during the early morning. The first time that I came to be was a exciting experience, for the world was new to me. The calls of the pterosaurs, the grunting calls of various herbivores that reside within their herds was a captivating time for me.
Looking forward to living and getting my first meal did I roll out of the confines of my egg. The shell of course shattered once I rolled out of it. On my first legs I immediately wanted to run and be free, however that was tricky since I was but a simple hatchling.
My brown scales clung onto the heat that came from the sun, and the breeze that rolled over me fueled my energy. I wanted to explore and see my home. I was curious of my surroundings, like all offspring.
Getting up onto my feet again, I looked up at a much larger carnivore that was now looming over me. The size alarmed me, but my fear dissolved once a soft caress came from the nose of the giant who I recognized. She was my parent, my mother who was greatly protective of me. I was her first child, and sadly the last that she would ever have. I didn't even know how old she was, but her massive brown body was covered in various scars.
These lands were our home, and my mother was the queen of it. I didn't realize it at first, but I would soon be the king of such a vast territory. My life would change and be full of dangers, I would go through life with great confidence and strength.
As time went on I was told to stay near the nest at all times, my mother would go out and hunt and she felt like it would be to dangerous to bring her child with her when she went hunting. I of course obeyed and remained near my nest. When she was away however, I would soon realize that I was not alone.
This was the time I was introduced to danger.
I remember it clearly much like you will soon understand, but I was running around chasing every little thing that moved, my instincts were very strong and I simply couldn't resist to chase after things.
Insects, small lizards, small rodents, even leaves that would fall off from the trees. While I ran after things, I didn't even notice that I was being watched. A large predator watched me intently much like me watching and chasing things that moved.
I slipped and had fallen as I chased after a lizard, and before my eyes appeared feet. Large feet that were bigger than me, my first reaction was that it was my mother but I realized quickly that it wasn't.
Looking up, the sun made it difficult to see who or what it was but in a flash teeth snapped at me. The horrid breath hit my face as I let out a scared cry. My feet struggled to run, but once I found traction I ran. This large predator was something I didn't even know about, later on did I find out that it was a allosaurus.
That terror, that feeling of fear ran through my veins.
This home of mine was and will be the only place that I will ever come to know. It was also about time that I took notice of the dangers that reside here. Of course I was young and was not familiar of the dangers, but I learned quickly.
A loud sound of a infuriated mother erupted behind me, the heavy smell of dirt soon followed.
My eyes went wide as I heard a terrifying sound, it was a mixture of a deep sounding yelp and a high pitch yowl. Looking back did my eyes catch sight of my mother, and the allosaurus was within her jaws. The sounds the predator made could not compare to my mother who was snarling viciously.
She lifted the allosaurus with ease, her mouth and fangs were stained with crimson blood.
Approaching my mother, her large size was before me for she was as tall as the tallest of trees. Her body was so similar to mine, for I was her twin. Honestly, I was glad to look like my mother for she knew everything and I couldn't wait to learn everything from her. I wanted to hunt like her, fight like her, rule like her.
