"Sorry, my friend called," the man said as he hung up the phone.
"It's alright, I just wanted to thank you for wrapping up my finger," I said, standing up and holding my hand out.
"Well I hope you come to visit soon, if you ever come back, tell them to look for Hoseok," he said, shaking my hand and giving me his bright smile, once more.
As I shook his hand, the images and illusions popped in my head again.
***
"Y/n, y/n, y/n?"
My body was one the floor, and the man was waving his hand in front of my face trying to get me to wake up.
I slowly sat up.
"Careful," Hoseok said while helping me up.
"Thank you."
I took a moment to pause.
How did he know my name?
"I'm sorry, but how did you know my name?" I asked.
He looked down and then back at me.
"I-I don't know, wild guess?" He said shyly.
I made eye contact with him, not breaking for even a second.
"FINE, I'm here to guide you, that book you saw, yeah, I'm suppose to help you find the one, your soulmate, your lover, your-"
"You talk really fast when you get nervous,"
"Sorry, I'm just new to this, your my first client and I just really wanted to be able to help-"
"There you go again," I chuckled.
He held his neck in embarrassment.
"So this whole 'finding the one' thing, I'm really confused, plus the book how did it even do that thing where it changed into another book, and-"
"Now it's my turn to cut you off," he laughed. "But I promise I will explain and help you to the best of my abilities for the next couple of weeks," he told me.
Next couple of weeks?
"So, that wasn't my imagination?" I asked him. He gave me a bright smile and shook his head.
"Nope, everything you saw was meant for you, and just you."
"How did you know I opened the book?"
"It cuts you, when you open it, the page cuts your finger and gets your blood to Identify who you are. When I saw your finger, I knew you had opened it," he answered as he sat in his office chair.
I took a seat and tried to process everything he told me.
"I know it's a lot, it's easier than it sounds," he chuckled. "Now, what is the boy's name?"
"Namjoon," I whispered.
"I can't hear you."
"His name is Namjoon," I spoke up.
He froze and looked at me.
"A-Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes, his name is Kim Namjoon, that's what I heard," I said to him. "Why? What's wrong?" I asked.
"He's a guide too, we're not allowed to fall in love," he said with confusion laced in his voice. "What did he look like? Maybe it's a different Namjoon," he said.
"He has blonde hair, and the most beautiful smile imaginable, he has dimples in both cheeks, but the one on the left is more prominent," I was going to continue, but he stood up.
"That's him," he said with even more confusion in his voice. "I have to call the guardians to help us," he says as a pair of wings come out of his back.
"WHAT THE FUCK? HOW DID-"
"No time for explanation, we have to go y/n." And with that, he took me and flew off.
