I walked into the pharmacy nervously and began to stroll down the aisles, trying to act casual. I checked the overhead signs and made a beeline for the sign that read 'Pregnancy Tests'. On the outside I looked cool as a cucumber but on the inside I was shaking and running through every possibility. I was the sort of person who need to know what was going on, what was going to happen next. I was always making intricate plans. If something didn't go to plan, it felt as if it was the end of the world to me. Anyway, I casually peered at the different pregnancy tests and after a couple of seconds I grabbed one and speed-walked to the counter. I placed the box on the counter and looked around casually. The lady behind the counter peered at me over her glasses and cautiously scanned the pregnancy test, "$17.50 please." I pulled my wallet out of my pocket without a word, and without making any eye contact and handed her a $20 note. "$2.50 change." She dropped the coins into my hand and I could feel her eyes on me as I walked out of the shop.
