Hey friends, this is my first general / Original fictional Story. I hope you will like it. -N.
"Sometimes, the path to new beginnings is paved with unexpected turns, leading us into shadows rather than the light we hoped for."
As the officers moved to pull him away, he halted, resisting just enough to turn back toward her, a mocking smile curling at the corners of his lips, arrogance radiating from his stance despite the cuffs.
“Oh, you think this is over?” he sneered, his voice laced with a twisted satisfaction that sent a chill through her spine. “You think I’m done with you just because they slapped a pair of cuffs on me?” His eyes, wild and defiant, bore into her, as if he could shatter her resolve with sheer force of will.
She recoiled, a mixture of disgust and disbelief contorting her face. “You’re delusional,” she spat, her voice trembling with fury. “After everything you’ve done, you actually think you have the right to—”
“—To still have power over you?” he interrupted, his smile widening. “Isn’t that exactly why you’re here, watching me being dragged away? Because you need this. You need to see me fall. But what if… I don’t?”
His arrogance was maddening, his refusal to show remorse a cruel reminder of all the ways he had controlled her life. Today was supposed to be her liberation, the day she finally escaped his grasp, and yet, here he was, taunting her with a twisted sense of victory.
She stepped forward, her voice steadying with rage. “You’re going to rot for what you’ve done. Whatever hold you think you have over me is gone. You’re a monster, a murderer, and justice will be served.”
He laughed—a dark, chilling sound that echoed through the room. “Justice? You think locking me up will change anything? You’ll never be free of me. I’m in your head, in your every thought. You hate me, but deep down, you know I’m right.”
“Get him out of here,” she whispered to the officers, unable to bear another second of his presence. As they pulled him away, his laughter rang out, that twisted, arrogant smile the last thing she saw before he disappeared from view.
But his final words clung to her, a haunting reminder that his hold over her was more than just physical—it was a scar that had burrowed into her very soul. And even with him gone, she knew she would have to fight every day to reclaim the freedom he had stolen from her.
