Jeff and Smile walked through the empty streets and dank, dark, smelly alleyways. The cool summer air whisked around them, chilling Jeff a little. It made Smile's red and black fur blow gently in the breeze. It was about midnight and Jeff hadn't spotted the person or wolf that Slender had spoke about. He grumbled and kicked at a tin can, startling a nearby cat. Smile barked at it and sent it running down another alley.

"Can I please go chase it?" Smile begged, giving a wide grin and puppy eyes.

"We can't Smile. Besides if I don't get a report to the boss I'll get stuck doing the dishes for a week and no going out to kill anyone." Jeff sighed. It was rare for him to follow orders but when it involved doing the dishes for a week and no killing was a whole other matter.

"Aww, pretty please? Pretty please with sugar on top?"

"No."

Smile whined then shut up. Jeff walked through a puddle, getting his shoe and socks wet. He hated that but just shook his leg, mumbled a few curse words and moved along. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of familiarness. He remembered Jane. Beautiful Jane. He was always one step ahead of her and she hated that. If this wolf-person-creature thing was after him it would be like the good old days when Jane and Jeff would hunt each other down and try to kill one another. Of course, she did live at the mansion with him and the others. So whenever they tried to kill each other inside the mansion Slender would always show up and separate them. This went on for quite some time before they both gave up fighting each other and started ignoring one another.

"So you got the stuff?"

"Uh yeah I did. I had to stab a guy for it!"

Jeff flattened himself between a garbage can and a brick wall. He took out his knife. I guess Slender won't mind if I take a quick break. He thought. Smile crouched with him behind a pile of trash.

"Hypocrite!" Smile hissed quietly, thinking he was going to kill these men.

Jeff turned and glared at his companion. Jeff peeked out from his hiding spot. He saw two men there. Both scruffy, both wearing caps, gold chains and jeans that were too low for anyone's liking. One gave a package of something to the other.

"Dude, think how much money we could make off of this!" One exclaimed.

"Keep your voice down! You never know if the police could be around," the other hissed. "or something worse!"

"Pfft, dude that wolf thing is just a myth."

Jeff suddenly resisted an urge to go and ask these drug dealers about the so-called wolf person.

"You never know! You know Maurice got killed last week in his home! The cops say that got attacked by an animal before getting slashed by some sort of blade," one explained. "There was no life left in his eyes even!"

"I know, but some guy probably had it out for him anyway and got a dog to attack him." the other sighed.

Then something jumped down at the two men. A shadowed figure with something on their back and a scarf.

"OH HELL!" one yelled.

The figure pushed one man up against the wall and began to reach for the item on their back when the other man went pulled them off his friend. The person began to twist and melt into some sort of animal. The animal howled and bit down on the man arm that was holding them. The man howled and let go of what looked like a large dog. The dog didn't let go of the man's arm. It sunk in it's fangs and began to pull. The other man was disoriented and couldn't help his friend. Smile and Jeff watched carefully from their hiding places. The dog went and ripped the man's arm off with incredible force and strength. He cried out and collapsed. The other man got up and tried to shoot the dog but it turned back into a human and had slashed his head off before he could fire a single shot from his gun.

The figure straightened itself and kicked at the head which rolled closely to Jeff and Smile's hiding spot. The figure came into the light. It was a girl with a cut on her cheek in the form of an 'X'. She had a red striped scarf and a black amulet around her neck. She wore flats, black pants with a fancy black coat with an X-printed pattern on the sleeves and hems of the coat. On her shoulder were single white 'X' patches. Her skin was extremely pale and her eyes pinkish-red. Underneath her eyes were dark shadows making her look like an insomniac. In one hand she held a silver scythe and in the other, two writhing, floating, black things. They floated towards her amulet and went through it.

"No rest for the wicked." she muttered.

The girl walked up to the head and picked up the head of the decapitated man. "You'd look lovely on a pike, where all criminal heads belong." she said. But she tossed the head away into a dumpster. Smile gave a low growl. He was ready to charge and attack this girl.

"Smile no!" Jeff blurted out loud.

The girl turned to Jeff's hiding spot.

"Do I have a little peeper on my hands?" the asked as she walked over to Jeff's hiding spot. The girl gave a sigh and extended her hand. The trashcan levitated off the ground and to the other side of the alleyway. The girl now had a clear view of Jeff and dog ears and a tail behind some garbage bags. The girl hesitated for a minute.

"It's you..."
