I was there, freezing to death in my little cardboard box. There was a storm going on and I was trying my hardest to not get wet and to keep warm. If you were wondering how I was able to fit in a cardboard box as small as this, I'm a cat. Well, not a cat but a human as well... Although I still have my ears and tail as a human. I don't have a name, I was never given one. I'm a white cat with light blue eyes. When I heard splashing as if someone was walking in the rain, I looked up to see a male human with and unbrella. He was keeping me from getting wet and smiled brightly. He took me in his arms, placing me in his warm jacket, wrapped his arm protectively around where I was hidden and took his umbrella from the ground. Is he protecting me from the rain? Is he going to take me to his home? I asked in my head, looking up. He ran out of the alley, running around a few blocks before finally stopping in front of a house. He entered and immediately took me out of his jacket, placing me on the black couch. He placed his umrella on a hook, took his jacket off and kicked his shoes aside. He then came back to me and sat beside me, taking me in his arms and lifting my tail up. At that moment, I jumped out of his arms, flustered as I kept my tail between my legs.
-"You're a girl." He smiled, making me realize he only wanted to know my gender.
-"Meow!" I responded, straightening my tail back up.
-"I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable! I wanted to know your gender before I gave you a name and I wanted to know what I was going to get myself into. You know, humans can't really tell the gender of their pets without looking at their personal parts." He explained.
I rubbed my head on his hand, making him chuckle and pet me.
-"Anyways, I'm Park Jimin. I think I'll call you... Crystal because of your white furr and blue eyes." Jimin told while petting me.
Crystal does sound nice... I thought as he was petting me. Is this man really going to adopt me?
-"Are you going to let me help you?" Jimin asked, probably a little scared I won't accept him.
I looked at him, confused and jumped on his lap, stretching to put my paws on his chest, trying to tell him I already accepted him.
-"A friendly one, aren't we?" He chuckled, lifting me up in the air, placing me on his shoulder and walking to the kitchen. "How about some food? It must've been a while since you had a decent meal."
-"Meow!" I responded, rubbing my head on his cheek.
-"I guess that's a yes." he chuckled while searching for some food.
He took some rice, dumped it in the rice cooker with some water and took a can of fish. Smells heavenly! I thought as I watched him place it on the counter. Jimin didn't open the can, though, waiting for the rice to cook. He took out some steak for himself and placed it in a pan. When everything was ready, he split the rice in two, one for me, one for him. He opened the can of fish and dumped it in a bowl with the rice. He sure looks like he knows what he's doing... I thought, amazed at the boy's handiness. He placed the bowl on the ground and took his plate, sitting on the table. I looked at him for a while, wondering why I was on the floor. I tried taking my bowl with my teeth but it didn't work. I just jumped on the table, looking at him as he looked confused.
-"Crystal, girl, not on the table." He said and i looked down, meowing. "Why aren't you jumping off?" He asked but I didn't want to. "Crystal..." He growled.
I jumped off, taking my bowl with my teeth and pointing at the table with my paw, looking straight at him. When he didn't budge, I just sat there, refusing to eat. He looked at me, sighing.
-"You really want to be eating on the table, don't you?" he asked.
-"Meow!" I responded, annoyed.
