Zoe Carter is a normal 11 year old girl living a difficult life. Zoe was average height for an 11 year old and she had very long, always smooth golden platinum blonde hair that never tangled, she had the most gorgeous grey eyes and bright red lips. From what she could remember she always lived with her horrible family, her mother who never cared about her, her father who always verbally abused her and her bully of an older brother. Unlike her family Zoe was a cute, usually energetic, funny, charming little girl who could be shy at sometimes. She lived in a single town house on Campers Road, she had the tan coloured house and the burnt brown drive way.

It was another normal day when the unexpected happened, her mother told her that she would be going away for a week to stay at an adventure camp. To her it was the opportunity to finally leave the house without someone always breathing down her neck 24/7, but to her family it was an opportunity to get rid of "the little brat" for a whole week. It was August 1 and she would leave on August 4 at 8:00 in the morning. Excited for the trip she started to pack up her things right away, she was always very quick when she was excited so she had finished in less than 20 minutes.

Zoe packed her hairbrush, shampoo, all the clothes she need for a week and every other camping essential, now all she had to do was survive the next 3 days and she would finally be home free, literally. Most people loved their home and wanted to stay home all the time but not for Zoe, she wanted to be anywhere else except for "home".

It was like her living hell, she had to do everything. She cooks, cleans, washes, dusts and she even takes out the trash every Tuesday. Her schedule was the same everyday, wake up, brush teeth, shower, cook breakfast, serve breakfast, clean up, wash dishes, clean up house, take out trash (if its Tuesday), check the house again if she missed anything the first time she cleaned, do something that her mother probably would have wanted her to do, cook lunch and so on. At the end of the day she washes off her body, brushes her teeth and then heads off to bed. Zoe is always so busy that she never has anytime for herself, she doesn't have any friends either because her parents isolate her from society.

Surprisingly enough the first 2 days had been a breeze to get through, it went by fast until it came to day three. There was this huge butterfly in her stomach getting her even more eager then before, the more eager she got the more the day seemed to stretch longer. Finally it was time, she had finished brushing her teeth and got into her P.J.s, she turned off the lights and climbed into bed. Quickly she set her alarm clock for 7:00am, Zoe enjoyed getting up early for special things. That way for sure she didn't miss the chance. She then tucked herself in under the covers and smiled, she placed her hand on the switch of her bedside lamp and flicked it off. Placing her head on her pillow Zoe tried to calm herself down so she could sleep better, she closed her eyes and pictured what the a wonderful place the camp would be.
