After her conversation with Camila the night before, Violetta woke up different. Not extremely different, but it felt as if there was a weight lifted off her shoulder. All these years, she'd been too focused on her ex instead of trying to start a new love life with someone else.
And her Violetta was, doing the first thing Camila suggested her to do. Talk to Federico. Tell him everything and just talk about whatever. Standing in from of Federico's apartment door, knocking.
"Can we talk?" Violetta asked Federico as he opened the door to his apartment.
"I was just about to meet with you guys," Federico responded, tying his sneakers. "What's up?"
"I told Camila about Emily," Violetta said. Federico nodded, understandingly. "It felt good to get it off my chest."
"Is this you giving me permission to tell Ludmila?" Federico asked. Violetta shook her head.
"Why do you need permission to tell your girlfriend about your daughter?" Violetta questioned. "You don't. I told Camila without telling you, and I want to tell León."
"Are you and León-?"
"No. But I want to," Violetta interrupted. "I need to be truthful right now. I'm still in love with you."
"Violetta-"
"Just let me get this off my chest before we go meet with our other friends," Violetta said. Federico nodded, letting Violetta continue. "I think I'll always be in love with you. The truth is that everyone will always be in love with their first love, and I think I was blinded by that love. What I mean is, I was always in love with you since we broke up before moving here. I've just stayed in love with you these past couple of years, but of course you never noticed. I saw all those times you've tried to set me up, and it hurt because all who I wanted to be with was you."
"I'm so sorry, Violetta. I never noticed."
"I tried to hide it from you. You were so happy with everyone else, and I couldn't break your happiness because I wanted to get back together with you."
"Violetta, you were my happiness. Hell, you still are my happiness. But under other circumstances. Violetta, you're my best friend, and I love you. Just not the same way as before," Federico held Violetta's hands, a small smile on his face.
"And that doesn't hurt me anymore," Violetta responded. "C-Camila opened my eyes last night, and we needed to talk about talking about Emily."
"We're going to tell everyone?" Federico asked.
"Uhm, we should, shouldn't we?" Violetta questioned. "But you can tell Ludmila before we decide when to tell everyone else. She deserves to know."
"As does León," Federico added. "How are we going to tell them?"
"Blurt it out," Violetta smiled. "It really gets it off your chest."
"I don't think that's the best way," Federico responded. Violetta shrugged, waiting for his idea. "If we're telling everybody, we shouldn't just sprout it on them."
"How would we tell them? No one knows about- y'know- us," Violetta added.
"Oof, It's getting late for your Christmas Eve party," Federico said glancing at the clock by his door. Violetta's eyes widened.
"I have to go," Violetta said. "I wanted to talk to León about last night," Violetta stated as she and Federico walked out to the hallway.
"I'm sure he'll be at the party tonight," Federico responded, locking his door. "You don't want to be late for your own party."
"Fede?"
"Yeah, Vilu?"
"I'm really glad you stayed with me for Christmas. This entire year has been really hard for me, especially these last couple months," Violetta hugged Federico. "I really appreciate it."
"Of course, you're family. And you can't leave family alone during the holidays. It's inhumane," Federico responded, wrapping his arms around her body.
⛄️❄️🎄🎁
Honestly, I'm a total sucker for Fedeletta scenes. They were my favorite friendship on Violetta, and I secretly hoped they ended up dating in season 1.
