"I saw you crying, and My heart sank."

"Hey Joyie.."
Chanyeol waved at the girl who just arrived inside the house, he was sitting down on the couch looking really drained. He was still wearing his costume from EXO's performance but his shirt's button was undone.
"Oh hi Yeol oppa~"
She smiles and sat beside him and held his hand, she noticed that he was looking pale, she was also still wearing her costume from that music show. The sad atmosphere was surrounding the whole living room.
"You seem down.. gwaenchanayo?"
She asks him, looking at him awaiting his response. He turned to her while firmly holding her hands. looking at her, he said.
"I..i'm fine.."
Joy wasn't taking that answer seriously, she knows chanyeol and he can't hide how he feels.
"No.. you're not, tell me what had happened?"
He couldn't hold in his tears, he suddenly breaks down into tears, sobbing as he felt her sincerity.
"See I knew you weren't fine.. what's the matter love?"
She angles herself to look at his face, he looked so sad. It caused her to worry even more. His eyes were red from crying. He was sobbing and holding her hands, he slowly lifted it up against his mouth as he kissed her hand, resting his forehed on it after.
"It's just that we worked so hard.. yet we failed"
She knew that chanyeol was talking about the music show, she already knew it would affect him since he works hard on everything he does.
"Hey now, you know that there are times that we aren't the best right?"
She cupped his cheeks making him look at her, her smile was a mixture of sadness and reassurance. Their hands that were still held on to each other. Joy suddenly sang the song tilted 'Hug Me', as she started singing Chanyeol leans his forhead on her shoulder. Holding his hand as he wept.
"Ne soneul jabeun nal nochiji malajweo.."
Joy was crying while she was singing chanyeol the song, it made Him look at her when she reached that line in the song.
"I won't ever let go, please don't let go of mine.." He mutters to her as his eyes were now swollen from all the crying he's done.
"I'm sorry you had to see this side of me joy.. I just feel like I'm so unwanted,,"
That statement made joy's heart sank even more
"hey you're wanted.. by me"
She looks at him with tears streaming down her face, he was shocked when he saw her crying
"yah! W-why are you crying?!"
He starts to panic and held on to Joy's shoulders
"who hurt you?!"
Without another word she hugged him tightly giving him the warmest embrace she's ever given him
"no one did, I just get sad when the one I care about the most feel unwanted. I care for you so much..."
Joy tightens her hug, squishing him into the warm embrace she's giving him. Chanyeol understood what she meant, chuckling softly after she hugged her back
"I saw you crying on stage too... my heart sank"
She let out a soft laugh, and rests her chin on his shoulder, caressing his back.
"It must've been tough right? I know it's hard but we just have to keep holding on.."
Her words made his heart ache, he felt her love and care for him. Chanyeol's tears ran down his cheeks once more and was now the one hugging joy tightly
"You cutie... thank you for always being here" he said to her
"Paboya, I'll never leave. I'm always here by your side. I'll try my best to cheer you up always.." Joy replies to chanyeol in a soft yet calming voice..
"Okay then just Hug me and tell me everything's gonna be alright.." He chuckles softly while stroking joy's hair
"I love you,," those words made chanyeol's Heart pound, he felt all his sadness go away when she muttered those words. he looks at her with a smile on his face as he pressed his forehead against hers.
"I love you too..."
