This is my first story so it might suck sorry??!!Ughhh I hate school all the loud noises and annoying people I thought as I walked into the school. I was instantly hit with the smell of nasty kids and cafeteria food ugh just thinking about it makes me want to barf!
Oh yeah, hi I'm Emma and I'm a 17 year old junior who just moved into New York. Now I don't live in New York City but I live pretty close so I visit a llloottt. I have family that lives there so it's all good! I live in a dorm with 2 other people named Lexi and Vivy but I don't see them a lot they're usually gone doing something with their friends that they actually have. Me, on the other hand, I just got here so I have no friends.
Anyways, as I was walking to find my locker I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and was met with a stern-faced woman standing there. She looked me over, which was sort of odd and continued.
" Hello, I'm the assistant principal nice to meet you!" she said with a toothy smile.
"oh um... hi I'm Emma, I'm new here," I said.
" Great! Let's go find someone to give you a tour!" she said.
"Okay..." I said.
I was nervous to meet whoever it was she had in mind to guide me since I know no one. The reason that I don't have friends is because one, they can screw your over way to fast, and second I don't get out much. I like the small things in life like finishing books, for instance. It's not like I'd rather spend my time with school, but I guess the idea of getting blackout drunk, or drunk in general, doesn't seem "fun" in a public place at least. It was awkwardly silent with occasional questions from the principal, I wasn't until now that I truly felt how big the school was.
I was finally saved from that nightmare of a walk when we came up to two lockers.
"Ahem... Jake I would like you to take this young lady on a tour of the school," She commanded.
"Do I have toooooo!" Jake whined.
"Yes now be kind!" she said as she walked away.
I stood there for a few seconds not knowing what to do while the supposed "jake" told his friend something. I took this time to overlook him. He wasn't bad looking, he had short dark brown hair with, from what I can tell, green-ish hazel eyes. He has freckles that just lightly dust his cheeks and nose. The outfit he's wearing wasn't bad either. I've got to admit he's got a better style than me, wearing a letterman jacket with a white shirt underneath paired with some dark, ripped, skinny jeans. Jake then walked away from his friend, breaking me from my thoughts, and I struggled as I tried to catch up with him. We eventually came up to a door but before he knocked he turned to me and asked:
"Wait, what is your schedule?"
I showed him my schedule and he grabbed it from my hand.
"So... are you a freshman??" he asked as he started his brisk walk towards another hallway.
"Me?"
"No Casper the friendly ghost," he said sarcastically.
"Oh yeah, right Ummm... no, I'm not a freshman I'm a junior," I said blushing. It didn't occur to me until just now that I hadn't interacted with anyone since I got here. Which is probably why, me being the only other person in the room, was confused that someone that I didn't know asked me a question. I take it with a grain of salt though, he probably wants to just make small talk, get this over with, and go back to his life, forgetting who I am, which to my pleasure is also what I want.
