Like Them

Chapter One: Fog

         I am on my way home from school. It had rained for a while, and the streets were covered with water. There was no traffic. I was wearing a black dress with black shoes. Today is October 15 on Monday. I am 16. I have one little sister named Karina Millasi (Mill-ahce-ee) Maddes.She is six years old. Suddenly, fog rolled in. I walked into it to go home. But suddenly, I heard a strange noise. And then, a bell chimed far off in the distance. I looked up at the sky, and lightning struck a ways off. It wasn't that cold out, but the wind gave the rainy day a dreary feeling. Leaves blew across the sidewalk. I felt a bit lonely after I passed the park, where no children were. No one was around... The swings squeaked against the wind, which blew more furious than before. I was almost home, when I saw a strange light in an alleyway to my right. It was a neon purple light, which was very odd and terrifying.
