When I got back to the bar the demon looked at me and laughed. After he was done laughing he said, “What did you do that for?”
“You’re a foolish demon.”

“Who are you calling foolish, warlock.” He spat out the last word like poison.

“You were about to kill them weren’t you, demon?” I spat out the last word with the same tone as he did. “Yes I was, warlock.” This time it said the whole sentence with a flat tone and didn’t say warlock like poison, just with a pause.

“What were you doing?” I asked him after around 2 minutes of silence. “I was going to get rid of one of the biggest threats to this world.” He answered. “And who would that be?”, of course I knew the answer but I wanted to know if he knew. “You know exactly who, Cace, but I will say who anyway, Voulcher. And don’t say you have no idea who I’m talking because, well you know why.”

“How do you know I do?” of course I knew but I was testing it. “Because he was the one who summoned Honija to kill your family.” It responded in a thoughtful tone. “And how do you know that demon?” “Because I am one of the fairies who went through your farmhouse and followed your secret tunnel to your city house.” “Why exactly?”. “We have been watching you Cace and I for one have become quite interested in you.”

“Who are you then?” “I, Cace, am one of the most powerful fairies on this world and I have all the powers you could imagine.”
