A bright ray of sunlight broke out through a gap in the curtains and hit her face as she slept. The night before, she had gone to sleep later than usual, as she was submitting her drawing for the illistration competition. Her picture was one of a girl standing in a feild staring out into the horrizon, with a sky illuminated by the colours of the setting sun, clouds of purple, pink, and orange. The first few hours of the day went as normal, unitl around 12.30 pm, when she had gotten a call through the home line.

"Hello Yulia? It's me, ----------"

"U-u-ummm, yeah?"

"There has just been a -----------. Im with ---------, so ----------. I might be home but if not ------------."

"U-uuu. Hello? I cant hear you properly. What are you saying?"

The buzzing between the words he spoke became louder and lasted longer. This went on for about two minutes, before the last words could be heard.

"Whatever might happen, tell them that I killed your mother."

There was one final buzz before the conection was lost. Yulia stood frozen. The sound that could be heard was the impact of the phone against the floor. A slight vvvvvvvvv rang in her ears, and visions flashed through her mind. She cluched her stomach and put her hand over her mouth, to silence her already quiet screams. Tears rolled down her face and gently hit the floor like raindrops.

Yulia awoke. She was lying on the floor next to the shelf. Beside her was the phone, exept this time, it had a slight crack, only large enough to expose a few of the wires located inside. Outside, the sound of rain was present and the light of the moon shone through the open curtains. She turned onto her stomach and pushed herself up using both hands. Yulia stood and diverted her gaze towards the clock, placing her hands onto the shelf as a support and returning the damaged phone to its stand. 1.48am.
"So he still wants to be blamed. I guess he's going to still be the same no matter how many times I do this."
Her eyes turned to the pouring rain outside.
"B-b-but why blame him?"

Monday came as quick as it ended, starting as usual, the light ring of the bell, and Mrs Gardner entering in her dreamy way, tripping over her own feet and swaying a little.
"Good morning cl---- well you already know. Let's just get on with form. Mavis."
Mrs Gardner turned to look at Mavis and smiled slightly.
"Luckily for us, we have arranged an extra hour for form. This way we can discuss more about the movie."
"Oh really? Yay, hah ha," her excitment slowly increased, which was reflected on her face.
She stood up and made her way towards the teachers desk that was located at the front of the class.
"So. U-ummm. After a long talk with the head teacher last friday, I was told to also let the class give ideas. And also, he told me to say sorry. Now, what should we do."
Many hands sprung up and decisions were being made. This was the first day in a week where it didn't rain, so Yulia didn't have a point to look outside the window. It is probably the first day that she actually paid any attention to what was going on in class. Well, it would be if it wasnt for the fact that the annoying girl that sat next to her, started a convasation.
"Hey, remember friday, that was amazing. People acctually started to believe that you couldnt speak at all. So go on. Speak to me."
"U-ummmm. Hello?"
"Eeeeek."
A smile shot onto her face, as if her dream had just come true.
"What's so exciting?"
"What do you mean? You legit never talk so to hear you is exciting. It feels like my dream just came true."
"Ok."
She turned to face infront of her and, as expected, Rey was staring at her.
