his sweater soaked through, the cold water felt frozen against his skin.
he broke his umbrella earlier from falling, such a clumsy boy.
he searched, looking for cover until the storm passed.
running down the street frantically, splashes of water could be heard each step.
a bus stop with many fir pine trees stood.
just past the street light that could barely be seen in the darkness.
he ran under, another boy stood looking down.
out of the corner of his nearly black eyes,
the boy who had been standing saw him.
