I pulled into a chair at my lunch table and continued our conversation. "Logan, for the billionth time, I'm fine." I sighed.

He protested. Again. "You were hurt badly, (Y/N)."

"But I'm okay now, I promise."

"I just need to know that—"

"No, Logan. I assure you that I am okay. Really," I talked as I chewed through my apple. "Why are you so worried? Shouldn't you be studying? Reading? Something other than wasting your time on me?"

"(Y/N)—"

"I'm the one that caused this. I took us to the park, I was being silly," I frowned. "Tell me why you aren't spending your time with other people aside from me. I can't stand not knowing this! I made my own slip up, Logan."

Logan presses his palms together and let out a deep sigh. "(Y/N), I was worried. You're making this bigger of a deal than it should be."

I rolled my eyes.

"Okay. I'm sorry for being so scared. I just love...," he choked on his words. "Being around you, I can't stay away. Especially not when I'm this concerned. You blacked out, and that isn't normal."

"You're right, I'm sorry, too." I sighed sheepishly, drowning in his creamy almond eyes. They were almost glowing. I always knew I'd get lost in them.

"You aren't taking me seriously." Logan smirked.

I snapped out of my daze. "Yes I am!" I squealed.

My ears started ringing. Oh, never mind, that was just the bell, signalling that lunch was over and sCiEnCe has yet to begin. Joy. Logan has already made sure that we were in the same classes. He was stuck to me like we'd both stuck glue to each other! It's starting to make me curious about something. I'll talk about it later. Alone.

......

I shoved my white fluffy boots on and trotted towards the door, holding it open for Logan. "Ladies first?"

"What a joke." he scoffed, although thanking me while he walked out.

Silence stretched between us now, and it was growing awkward, at least to me. A minute passed by and I wondered if he would bring anything up, but the silence just kept on stretching, like a rubber band waiting to snap. But he inhaled.

"Did we ever finish our conversation at lunch?" Logan asked.

Oh, not this again. "Yes, we did..."

He smirked. "Liar."

"Okay, what else do you want to say?"

My hand brushed against his while we walked the direction of my house. Dusty crimson rushed across my face, but I blame it on the cool weather.

"I never can stay away from you," he admitted flat out. His cheeks were a light red blush. "I feel the need to protect you.."

"Why?" I pressed.

It seemed like he panicked, I could tell by his expression changing for a half second. "I care about you a lot," he rubbed the back of his neck, looking up at the falling snowflakes. "I've never felt the need to care about anyone as deeply as I do for you."

Now I really couldn't blame the weather for my blushing. "What are you saying?" I interrogated.

"I don't know, never mind." he let his hand drop down to his side and continued walking in silence.

But I stopped. "Logan, you know you're my favourite person in the world. I need you to trust me, just tell me. Please." I begged.

"You don't have to beg," he tried to distract me. "It's cute, though."

"I said please." I reminded him.

Logan gave in, I assume. He huffed. While we were at our stop, beautiful Pine trees surrounded us, covered by snow. But the sun was out, and the now started sparkling, like diamonds.

"(Y/N), it's strange, but I'm sure that I can comprehend some emotions well enough to say..," he abruptly stopped mid sentence, but continued while I waited. "I love you. I didn't want you to be harmed any more than I had to see that one day."

My eyes twinkled, reflecting the shine from the snow as I stared deep into his eyes. My heart melted.

Logan began walking again.

But I caught up.

I grabbed his left hand and dragged him back to where I was, and pulled him in for a sweet kiss. His lips were soft. My fingers tangled into his hair and he held his hands on the back of my neck, pulling me in to deepen our kiss. We both had to pull back eventually, but shared another quick smooch before we continued walking.

"I love you, too." I blurted.

"I know."
