A New Fresh Start

Chapter 2~Mega Flirt

"So, do you like staying here?" Asks Caden. He stood firmly at my bedroom doorway, looking as if he was totally bored.

"Yeah" I tidied my study desk and put my finished homework in my homework file.

When I looked up at Caden, he was looking at my outfit: A cute new pair of light pink shorts, a NYC Shirt and a pair of designer Astroturves.

I give Harvey a little treat and he eats it quickly and falls asleep.

"You settled?"

"Yeah"

"Why'd you kept saying yeah then?"

"I dont know...Ive only been here a while. I cant find ANY good shops, no resturants, no-"

"If we ever have take-out, we are only allowed mcdonalds. Because Uncle Kenny bought a whole mcdonalds resturant for our cousins and went mentle when Sydney bought Chinese with her friends..."

"Okey Dokey. Wait...If he isnt here, why cant we eat different take-aways."

"Because...him and our 6 cousins are coming tonight."

"So, you never told me about them. What are they like?" I walk into the living room, over to the hanging-from-the-wall chair. I lay with my head of Cadens lap. I smile up at him and he laughs.

I love when he laughs. Its like seeing a newborn puppy, its adorable.

"Uncle Kenny is basically...Dad. Then theres Austin, Archie, Alex, Alexi, Amy and Annie. Austins 15, Archie and Alex are 14, Alexi is 11, Amy is 9 and Annie is 5..."

"Okay...So lemme guess; Alexi stays with Sydney. Amy and Annie stay with the baby. And Austin, Archie and Alex with us?"

"Actually, yeah! But...I need to warn you about something... they are M-" Suddenly the Amy and Annie run in, then Alexi, and finally Archie, Austin and Alex.

Austin smiles when he sees me, and makes his way to the red velvet sofa. Archie winks at me and then texts Alex something because his phone flashes and beeps. Alex nods and they both sit either side of Austin.

Caden looks down at me, and i get off his lap. "They are Mega Flirty..."

"Your joking, right?"

"100% Serious. Techniqually, your not there cousin by blood, so it makes it okay to date you. Even i could! I wont, but I could."

"Hey! Caden introduce us to the gorgeous model beside you." Alex smirks.

"Mikayla McCorran, Alex McStupid!"

Caden laughs, I giggle. Alex doesnt look impressed and returns to texting on his IPhone. His sea-green eyes follow the screen.

"So, Kayla-" He flicks back his golden hair and blinks his blue crystal eyes.

"Only Caden calls me that"

"Okay...Do you like it here? Maybe i could take you out around town one day. How long you been here?"

"Two Months"I answer, Austin nods.

"So ill take you for a nice little ride, eh?"He grinned the grin that got girls to fall for him. The kind that makes you melt.

"Maybe." I smile and he nods. He knows he has himself a date.

"Mikayla, would you mind me asking if you already know about the village prom this year?"Archie asks.

Austin, Alex and even Caden flinch at his question.

"Archie, its ages till the prom..." says Caden.

"She definately wouldnt go with you!"

"SO SHUT UP!"Caden yells, he protectively holds my hand. His hand is EXTREEMLY sweaty...  But i felt a spark as soon as our hands touched. I was sure he felt it too since he jumped and looked at me.

"Okay, okay dudes! Chill..." Archie rolls his eyes and flicks the tv channel over to The Simpsons.

Caden pulls me away from everyone and whispers:" Sorry about that..."

"Its fine. But, why did you shout?"I realise he still holds my hand in his.

He smiles, blushing. "I dont want you with them. They dont deserve you. Your basically of my little sis, but your my friend."

"Thanks, friend."I smile and look down at our joined hands.
