Natalie's POV
As soon as I step outside the airport I see Nash. I head over to him and hug him. When I let go he says "I've missed you, it seems like its been forever." I laugh and tell him "It has been forever and, I missed you too." I look around at my first glance of L.A., it doesn't seem like much from outside the airport. We hail a cab and head to Nash's apartment.
*Skip car ride*
"Nash, have I thanked you already because if I haven't I really appreciate you letting me stay with you and all." He smiles at me as he gets my suitcase from the trunk of the cab, "You've thanked me already, plus I don't mind I haven't seen you since I moved from back home."
"Yeah you mean since you hit it big and got all famous on us. Are you going to show me the ropes of L.A. or what?" I ask him as we walk inside. He sets my bag down and says "Yeah sure, I was going to a little get together later on. You should come I'll introduce you to lots of new people, It'll be fun." "Okay, I'm going to get some rest." I get my bag and head to the guest room. I look around the room until I spot a dresser to put my clothes in. As soon as I finish unpacking I lie down and fall asleep almost instantly. When I wake up I get my towel and head for the shower to freshen up. As I'm walking out the bathroom Nash sees me and asks "Are you going to get ready soon?" I respond "That's exactly what I was planning on doing." I go to the room and get dressed, I fish out my curling iron and plug it up. I'm really nervous about meeting Nash's friends, what if they don't talk to me and I just stand there alone?! I tell myself its going to be fine and I'm going to have fun.
*Skip to party*
When Nash and I walk in, He starts to introduce me to everybody.
"This is Natalie. Natalie this is Brandon." Then there was Ashley and Richard, Brad, Robert, Stephanie, and Kayla, and so many others I lost track. When the introductions died down I was really enjoying myself. Nash, Stephanie and I were talking about how I moved to L.A. and Stephanie said she'd like to go out sometime. Mid conversation I heard someone say "Aye Nash!" Nash turned around and waved to him. Nash looks at me and says "Come on' one more introduction." I follow Nash to meet whoever called him. As I get closer to him, it seems as he's towering over me. He's got some facial hair and I notice he's got an eyebrow piercing. I get nervous as soon as Nash says "Alx this is Natalie, Natalie this is Alx" I shake his hand which is warm to the touch. He says "Hey Natalie, Nice to meet you" "Likewise" I respond. I stand there awkwardly drinking my glass of wine while, Nash and Alx talk like there's no tomorrow. Suddenly Nash turns to me and says "I'm going to use the bathroom. You ok right here?" I look at Alx and nod yes. Nash leaves and Alx turns to me and says "Your very beautiful you know?" I look up at him, immediately I feel my cheeks turn red and I hope he can't tell I'm nervous with butterflies fluttering all inside me, "Thank You" I respond hastily. I wish I had enough courage to tell him how I thought he was extremely handsome but, I figured he already knew by how he carried himself. I spend the rest of the night talking to Alx on the couch. It felt like just Alx and I were there, no one else. As the night started to turn into early morning, Nash finds me and says "Are you ready to take off?" I turn and glance at Alx, reluctantly I nod yes. As I get up Alx stands and says "I really had a great time talking to you Natalie. Can I maybe get your number, I'd love to do this again." The butterflies flutter once more, as I turn to Nash who looks irritated, I look back to Alx and say "Yeah, I think I'd like that." I put my number in his phone as I hand it back to him I let my hand linger against his fingertips. As I'm walking away I look over my shoulder one last time at Alx, he's smiling and I think to myself 'I could get used to a smile like that'.
