My name is Kalía Martínez, I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico but my parents and I moved to La Bronx, New York when I was a baby. My father Anthony Martinez is Afo-Dominican and my mom Malía Ramos is Puerto Rican. My parents moved into a nice two bedroom apartment and had good paying jobs. When I was about two of three years old my father left my mom to be with some "puta" he cheated on my mom with. I still can't believe he married that bitch but anyway, after my father left my mom lost her job and she wasn't able to pay rent. So, my mom sent me back to Puerto Rico with my grandmother until she got on her feet. Living with my grandmother was a little different because I wasn't use to speaking spanish all the time especially at school. After years of living with my grandmother my mom finally got on her feet and even met a new man named Alex cross. He is a musician, he plays many different instruments. Alex is tall, he has dimples, he has waves in his hair and he has grey eyes. I was really sad to leave my grandmother in Puerto Rico. I moved with my mom, Alex and his daughter Layla in La Bronx, New York in a four bedroom house.

Layla was one year older than me. She has curly hair like mine but her hair is black, She has big grey eyes and full lips. After a year my mom was going to get married to Alex and she was gonna be a new mother to a baby boy. Three months later my mom mom and Alex were happily married and we had four month until my baby brother was born. Four months later my baby brother Kevin Cross was born. Every since then my family has been great I now call Alex my father and I call Layla my sister. As we've been growing up Alex has been teaching Layla, Kevin and I how to play different instruments. Today,Layla and I are seniors at Knights high school and Kevin skipped fifth grade and is now in sixth grade at Nations elementary school.
