Hmm... Who am I exactly? Well… I could lie about everything and say I am some preppy higher class princess who, gets whatever she wants, when her she asks her daddy. Who also happens to be a billionaire business person but… that cant be me. I have no dad and I don’t know my mother. I do however have a stepmother but I call her Michelle and two spoilt step sisters named Catlin and Katheryn. Excuse me? But did I hear you ask who am I? Well… my name is Sadie and even though I don’t look it my family is actually what you might call rich and my dad he use to own a restaurant/café. But since he is no longer with us (cue dramatically sad music), Michelle now owns it and now it is just a restaurant. I have been working here since I was nine which was about hmm… seven years ago I think. Wait let me do the maths. Yeah so seven years ago; I am now sixteen. Then when I get home I have to do everything that Catlin and Katheryn want and on top of that I have to treat Michelle like a queen. So while the three step-monsters have the latest and most expensive from Gucci, Myers, Zara, cotton on and Factory; I am stuck with clothes from cheaper stores so that I can afford it.
"SAAAADIIIIEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Michelle breaking me out of my thoughts "WHERE'S MY BREAKFAST!"
"COMING" I yell back as I put all of her supposedly healthy breakfast on the tray and walk out of the room. Walk down the hallway and up the fairytale looking stairs making sure not to spill her boiling hot green tea again. I stop outside her bedroom door and knock three times before entering her luxious room. Michelle's room is the biggest room in the whole house. It reminds me of one of those fancy hotel rooms that I remember dad taking me before he um… well left.
"finally! Sadie!" exclaims Michelle "don’t forget you have a shift at the restaurant after school oh and don’t forget to do your chores"
"yes Michelle" I say putting the food down on the antique, glass coffee table; that is placed in front of Michelle's bed . Michelle's bed looks like it had just been taken out of a fairytale book and put into the room; only difference is that it was only a month old.
"you may leave now" Michelle says
I head out of the fancy bedroom and head to my room on the bottom floor also known as the basement. Down the the two flights of stairs , down the hallway, past the kitchen and laundry then; open the door to my bedroom. Walk in and close the door behind me and start getting ready for school.
The basement is just a place where my bedroom, laundry and the kitchen is. There isnt really that much to it but I'm use to it. The walls a plain, the floor is basically concrete well actually it is. Michelle said that they didn’t have enough money to finish it off because they still need to renovate the restaurant.
I walked up to the cupboard where all my clothes were and picked out my blue jeans and purple tank top with my black jacket and ankle boots. After I was done getting dressed I grabbed my books that I need for the day and put them in my bag. Today I had science, english, sport (yuck), geography, cooking, music and then it will be the end of the day.
*BEEP BEEP* "SADIE!!!" yelled a voice I know all too well.
Finally
I open the small little window at the top of the left wall in my room. "I'LL BE OUT IN A MINUTE JUST LET ME GET MY BAG" I yell in reply and then shut the window, grab my bag and run up the stairs and out the door making sure to lock the door behind me then headed into the car.
