Reflection

chapter 8

AUTHOR'S NOTE

i did not write the song Sadie is singing it was written by the wonderful singer Ed Sheeran not me

and sorry for the extremely long update

(Sadie's POV)

Finally after tossing and turing between which lipstick to use Romania was finally finished

"Romania" I say shocked at the my own reflection I look so different "I... I..."

"you look beautiful" interrupts chip

"it's true" says aunty Lana "here's your mask"

Romania grabs the black mask and puts it on me " come on we have to go" she says handing me my guitar and pulling me off my chair.

" I'll put an alarm on my phone to say we have to go" I say getting out my phone

" I'll pick you up" says chip "michelle doesn't even know I have a car"

"we have to leave" says Romania dragging me and chip out the door.

"get in" says chip opening the car door "I'll meet you outside the school"

It took us ten minutes (with chips driving) to get to the school. . Everyone who wasn't part of setting up the formal was outside waiting. Romania and I both said goodbye to chip and ran to the school hall. I had to slow down a bit so Romania couldn't be left behind. The school on the inside was covered in purple, navy blue and white streamers and balloons. When we got inside the hall there was a bunch of people decorating the place and setting up the stage and that's when I saw the exact person I didn't want to know I was here.

"Romania" I say

"what" says romania following my gaze "oh yeah Arron's part of the set up, he did all the technical stuff'

"why didn't you tell me"

"Why?" says Romania pushing me towards him

"I'm not going"

"too late" says romania still pushing me " he has already noticed"

I look over in where I saw arron and see him looking back

Oh no I hope he doesn't notice me

"Romania what if he asks who I am" I ask

"oh I didn't think of that" replies Romania " quick stage name what is it"

" um..."

"oh I know your middle name is Roxy right?"

"yeah... no romania he will find out" I say freaking out

" no he won't look he is coming over now"

(Arron's POV)

Ok don't look in their direction and... damn it I thought as I noticed Romania pushing someone.

Romania was wearing a plain black dress with white shoes. The other girl Romania was pushing wore a half light half dark blue dress that went up to her knees. The skirt of the dress flared out like a ballerina tutu. The top part was sleeveless and looked like a corset with a heart shaped neckline. She wore black converses. The girls straight hair was pulled back into a high ponytailwith a silver headband in it. The mask she wore was black with silver swirls of glitter and black feathers stuck out of the top corners of the mask framing her blue eyes. From what I could tell she didn't look like she was wearing much makeup at all but what she was carrying surprised me the most.

"hey arron" says romania "this is the girl I told you about she is performing tonight"

"oh yeah" I say "hi"

"Arron this is Roxy, Roxy this is Arron" interrupts Romania

"hi... um where can I put my guitar" asks Roxy shyly

"I'll take care of that" says romania grabing the case out of her hands and leaving>

"so... Roxy is that a stage name or something" I ask as I continue on setting up the stage

"um... yeah actually but I like to be called by my stage name"

"really" I say in reply

"do you want help" asks roxy

"um.. No thank you" I say as I already see her trying to help but fails and judging by the look on her face I think she didn't know what to do "do you want help?"

"um... yes please" she replies. I walk over and grab decorations out of her hands

"thanks" says roxy

"you don't really need to help out you know"

"it would be faster" says Roxy trying to help out again

"no seriously" I say grabbing the box out of her hand

"just tell me what to do"

"you remind me of one of my friends" I say putting down the box and continuing on decorating the stage.

"which friend do I remind you of?" asks Roxy handing me the tape

"she's just a friend"

"ok" says Roxy going over to Romania. I wonder what her real name is since Roxy is her stage name. She reminds me of Sadie. I think it's the way she speaks.

"I'm back" says Roxy holding her guitar. Roxy's guitar was black with light purple roses that were gold at the corners.

"you didn't say you were leaving" I say as I finish putting the streamers on the stage. What song you going to perform"

"my own song" replies Roxy tuning the guitar "it's my first time performing in front of anyone"

"really by the looks of it you look like you've done a lot of performances"

"no" she says shyly her face slightly pink "can you stop with the questions please"

"ok" I say putting the chair on the stage with the microphone "did you want to do a sound check"

"um... the stage isnt set yet"

"It's set up I just need to see if the mic is working"

"ok" she says as she goes on stage and connects her guitar to the amp. "which song do you want me to play"

"um... I don't know" I say " your favourite song?"

"you sure" asks Roxy blushing

"yep" I say nodding

"ok" says Sadie as she starts playing a very familiar song

"white lips, pale face; breathing in snowflakes" sings Sadie

" I know this song" I say as Roxy continues playing

" to fly...fly... to fly. To fly. To fly. For angels to die.." sings Roxy finishing the last line of the song

"you know I wouldn't have pictured you to be an Ed Sheeran type of person " I say

"thanks" says Roxy shyly "he's a good singer"

"and same as you" I say smiling

"not really" says Roxy shying away

She even goes shy like Sadie

"if you weren't good then Romania wouldn't have asked you to perform"

"Arron if your finished you can go with Roxy to let the people in everything is set up already now" yells Romania from across the room

"you want to" I asks Roxy

"ok" replies Roxy getting off the Stage
