you always catch me at the bad time, when i know you probably think it's a lie

She was sitting down at work, trying to keep herself together.

Her phone started to ring, and it was Bill's father Stellan.

"Hi, Stellan." She tried to sound happy.

"Hi, sweetie. I don't think you know, but.." he paused. "B-Bill's in the hospital."

Her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach. "W-what? W-what happened?"

"He.. he crashed into a tree. Doctors say he might've been drinking. I'll text you his room number."

She thanked him as her eyes prickled with tears.

She felt like this was all her fault.

Mr. Skarsgård sent her the room number as she excused herself from work.

Once she got to Bill's room, she saw Stellan and Bill's step mom Megan.

"How is he?"

Stellan wipes a tear that fell down his cheek, "He's.. stable."

Megan comforted her husband.

"The doctor said Bill's breathing is dependent on the machine. Hopefully he'll get off of it soon."
