Josh's pov
"Joshua Ryan Hutcherson!"
"Get your butt down stairs now!" Mom screamed
"Alright, I'm on my way!" I answered slightly irritated
As I made my way down stairs I knew something wasn't right, what was going on? I finally reached the kitchen where my mom, dad and Connor my younger brother were all standing.
"Family meeting" mom says with with a hint of guilt or annoyance in her tone, I couldn't quite make out which one or I could be completely wrong and it could be neither.
"What for?!" Me and Connor both said in unison
I was slightly worried what the outcome of this family meeting would be. We rarely have family meetings and that is if someone has died or Connor or I have done something majorly wrong. I don't think anyone has died and I haven't done anything wrong. I don't think I have anyway...
Connor's pov
This can't be good we only have family meetings if someone has died or Josh or I had done something quite bad. I hope nobody has died and I haven't done anything wrong so it must be Josh's fault as usual. I'm quite scared to be fair mom looked quite angry.
"Can we hurry up and get this over with I don't wanna be late for the last day before the summer!" Josh said as if he was quite irritated.
"Well" Mom started
"Is this going to take long?!" I say now also quite irritated as Mom clearly didn't really want to tell us what was going on.
" c'mon Michelle I think it's fair that they know so they have plenty of time" my dad said in a calm voice
"Plenty of time for what?!?" Josh said in a raised voice
As you can see I'm the calmer child out of me and Josh, he gets irritated far to easily and he is rather impatient.
"For God's sake just tell me now or I'm getting ready for school!" Josh said even more irritated than before
"Alright then, I know you don't want to hear this boys but we're moving to Louisville" my mom finally told us I think she felt quit guilty, well I would if I just told my two boys we were moving away from where we grew up from and we're going to be leaving our school and all of our friends behind!
"WE'RE WHAT?" Josh screamed in my parents faces. He was defiantly not impresses by the outcome of the meeting.
"Sorry boys I know you're leaving everything you love about Union but, you can keep the memories in you're heart" my dad said trying to lighten the mood.
Josh's pov
I swear they hate me!
I was finally picking up the courage to talk to the girl I've liked throughout my entire school life! Claudia Traisac
The most beautiful girl that has ever walked this earth.
"Well that's just great thanks a lot you to!" I said while pointing at my parents, my mom looked as though she was going to cry and guilt punched me straight in the gut.
"Nice one Josh" I thought to myself
"Sorry guys but it's for my work, I've been transferred to the department in Louisville, at least we're not that far away. You can visit your friends during vacation" my dad said sympathetically
"I suppose so" Connor said slightly disappointed
"I guess" I said sort of defeatedly
"Anyway we should get ready for school don't wanna be late to break the news to our friends," I said to try and make my parents feel bad for me and Connor
