Once upon a time in a not so far away LA, a young lady named Deborah Ann Ryan was about to go out for one of her friend's birthdays. It was an important birthday, so Debby dressed up in the best dress she had, wore the most elegant pearl necklace crafted by the best jeweller and wore her makeup with a sultry yet classy and iconic red lip to complete the outfit. She headed out her apartment door and called a cab over.
"Where are you headed, missus?"
"Beverly Hills please."
The 30 minute cab ride was filled with awkward silence and small talk here and there.
"So... what are your plans this evening? You look very beautiful by the way."
"Oh thank you, just my friend's birthday meal."
"That's nice... have a good time."
"Thank you sir."
The yellow vehicle finally reached the destination and pulled up to the side of the curb.
"Keep the change."
"Oh thank you."Debby was the last person of the friendship group to arrive so she was greeted by all of her friends at the table. They all shared hugs and Debby handed her perfectly wrapped gift in a gold wrapping paper with a red bow to her friend before sitting down. They all had a quick little catch up before the rather tall and slender Italian waiter approached them.
"Would you ladies like the menu?"
"Yes please" they all said in unison.
Padded leather menus were handed to each of the girls. Debby had been notified by her friends that they had all been to this restaurant before therefore they knew what they were going to get. Debby on the other hand had never been so she scanned all of the options carefully. She was so spoilt for choice, she didn't know what to do. But all of a sudden, on the very left hand side of the left page, she saw one word. One word that she would want, one word she would crave. That word? Gazpacho. As soon as she saw those eight letters, the deep sensation within her soul almost made her drool with hunger and excitement. She knew that this was the love of her life, and she needed it. Now."Have you ladies decided on what you would like yet?"
"Oh yes, I know exactly what I'm looking for..."
Debby and all of her friends placed their orders and the waiter walked off. The anticipation began to build. She drummed her fingers on the table. Her right leg that was crossed over her left began to bounce up and down aggressively. She could hear almost incomprehensible voices of her friends gossiping to one another. Her mind was so focused on that beautiful big bowl of gazpacho that was going to come her way, her surroundings became a blur to her. That was until she saw an angel. Her golden eyes glimmered at the sight of the waiter, holding a tray full of various food approaching her table. Right in the middle of the tray lay a white bowl. It was almost God like the way the warm toned lights hit the bowl and reflected the golden rays off of it. Like a religious experience. She knew what was inside of that bowl, and she couldn't wait to have it inside of her.
It was painful having to wait any longer for it. The waiter handed out each meal to each person one-by-one, leaving Debby's last. Finally, the waiter presented the bowl in front of her. It finally hit her that the love of her life was sitting right in front of her. She thanked the waiter and picked up the spoon. It was almost as if time stopped around her as she took the first bite (or drink, idk how gazpacho works). She closed her eyes, widened her mouth and slowly began to place the spoon within her oral area. She gasped when the first drip hit her tongue. She slurped the rest of the spoonful up. It oozed down her throat and tickled her tonsils. It was exactly what she was waiting for. It was more than what she was waiting for.
The night was over. Debby had finished her gazpacho and enjoyed her time with her friends.
"'Til next time, gazpacho."
The end.
