Chapter 4 - Jauregui's mansion

Two months after Camila's first day of school, she is now one of the popular girls despite that she is not a cheerleader nor is she part of any sports team. Popularity does not change her much. She is still her dorky and nerdy self who spends most of her time reading, studying and doing her homework. She sometimes helped her friends who do not understand the lessons in school, mainly Dinah. She often answers the teachers' questions when they ask the class. She is still a teacher pet, especially towards Ms Lovato her English teacher. She still occasionally skipped meals during recess and go to her own fictional world in the library. Most of her actions seems like the perfect description of a loser. She have not made any attempt to ensure herself to maintain being popular and she is being totally oblivious on the possibility that her popularity might not last forever. A lot of the other students are jealous of her since she got to hang out with Lauren and the other popular kids despite not having anything special, in their eyes. The students always associate looks and sports talent to popularity. All of the boys and girls sat in the fancy long table are very attractive, extremely rich and are footballers, cheerleaders, basketball players or have musical talents. However Camila has not encountered any threats to her popularity since the first day of school.

Since Camila's first day something has changed. Dinah started to date a basketball player, Siope. Austin finally dating Cece's sister, Becky. Normani is dating with someone who is from a different school and is also Dinah's cousin. Zayn is dating a junior Perrie. Ally is still with Troy. While Wesley, Drew, Harry, Lucy and Vero loves to flirt around but are not in a relationship with anyone. Lauren have helped and set up Camila with Keaton. Camila reluctantly agreed since she does not want people to have any hint that she is a lesbian. They both broke up after one week but are still best friends with one another. Lauren on the other hand is dating a college student who was her previous senior, Luis.

"Camila.. Camila!" Camila's little sister shouted beside her while shaking her body in an attempt to wake her older sister up. "Mom ask you to sent me to kindergarten today" she explained.

"Mmm... okay Sophia. I'll go get ready. Do not forget to choose which stuffed animal you wanna bring". Camila and Sophia have always been very close to each other. She was Camila's only friend when she was bullied. Seems like it has been years ago but in truth it has only been a couple of months ago. Camila knows that when her mom asked her to sent her sister to kindergarten means that the mom has to leave for work early. Both of her parents work really hard and sometimes have not come back home till late. Camila takes a quick shower, grabs some fruits from breakfast then leaves the house with her sister. Camila lives in the middle class area of Miami while her school is in the upper class. So she has to take a bus to school. However sending Sofia to her kindergarten means that she has to exit before her usual stop then walks to her school from there. After dropping off her sister, she walks another 10 min to school. Then she saw Lauren's boyfriend, Luis drives pass her recklessly and speedily. She starts waving but she sees that he looks really angry and ignores her. Camila starts to frown and wonder what is going on. Once she reaches the parking lot she sees the popular kids hang around their usual park bench. They usually hang out there before the school bell rings.

"Hi!" Camila greets them happily.

"Hey Camila" they all greet back.

"I saw Luis driving pass me just now" Camila tells the Lauren who smiles back at her.

"Yea, he dropped by earlier to see me" Lauren answers simply, still smiling. However at that moment, Camila can see Lauren's sad eyes under her smile. Before she could say anything, the bell rings. They all walk and enter the school. Like everyday, Lauren, Ally and Normani walk in front while the other popular kids walk begin them. All student stares at them including Camila. She is still use to it and keeps her head down looking at her feet, careful not to fall. The other popular kids lockers are not near the three girls so they all separate halfway and went to their respective lockers. Camila quickly takes her books and meet up again with the other three girls. She had Spanish as her first class with Lauren so she waits for Lauren. In class, Lauren has been unusually quite. Despite her cheery looks, Camila could see her usual green eyes turns blue and gave all hint of sadness. Camila reached out her hand to Lauren's.
