She walked through the halls of high school with her head held high, right next to her beloved friends. Senior year was probably the most fun she had, although, she did not do well in school. It was the best time of going out and having fun, but it wasn't really the best school year. She knew that she had to do something about her grades, but for some reason, she just wasn't caring like she used to. She used to get good grades and hated when she got lower than a B, but she began to believe that grades weren't everything.

Acacia is her name. She has always been a confident soul. She loved herself no matter what people said about her. Not only was she beautiful on the outside, but she was also beautiful within, and she loved that about herself. When life would take a turn on her she would always face it with her head held high. Yes, she had anxiety over a lot of things, change specifically, in her life, she would have her bad days, and she would cry, but she was never alone. She never felt alone. She had the best family beside her that helped her always get through her tough times.

Speaking of her family, they loved her dearly. Her big family is what she loves the most, including her friends. She always thought of her friends as family. They are the best things that she keeps near and dear to her heart.

That's her most precious quality. She has the biggest heart anyone could ever have. She will even puts aside her confidence when she's with her friends because she knows that they aren't that confident and she just likes to try and make them feel good about themselves. She's always giving her friends compliments. They might not give her compliments as much as she does them, but she never really minded. She doesn't just put her confidence aside for her friends, but just for herself as well. She doesn't like to sound conceited. Even when she knows she looks good, she will never say anything about it. She does like to take a lot of pictures, but most of the time she doesn't post them. She just hates sounding like a conceited jerk. Not that she ever was that, she just doesn't want to become one.

Another thing she hates is seeing people cry. She's that type of person who will try and help people when they're sad. She tries to brighten their day with a joke, or even just by complimenting their appearance.

The only problem she has with this most amazing quality is no one really knows or realizes it. No one knows how big of a heart she has, maybe because they don't see it, or maybe because she doesn't show it that well. The only people that know of this quality are the people that know her the best. Those people are two out of her three aunts, and her grandma. They always see how much of a good heart she has, even when she doesn't know it, or see it herself. She does not know what she would ever do without them. Not only them, but just everyone in her life that are close to her.

Senior year was coming to an end and it was time for graduation. Acacia was more than excited. She could not wait to get out of that hell hole!

"Guys I'm so happy we're getting out of here. I'm so done with school!" She told her best friends. They all nodded and agreed.

"I know! This school sucks." Jane, her bestest friend ever, replied.

"I'm not only tired of this school but I'm tired of the people." Her other friend rashel added. Acacia and Jane nodded in agreement.

Jane and acacia were the best of friends. They did everything together. Hell, Jane was the reason why Acacia even went to parties! Without her she probably would have never gone. Acacia is pretty outgoing once you get to know her, but when it comes to making friends, she's not that good at it. Although it did always come easy to her. People just ended up coming up to her first and started talking to her. She didn't know what it was but the only reason why it was easy for her to make friends sometimes was because a lot of people just found her approachable. They would always just go up to her and say hi. Some people even have mentioned how there was just something about her that made them want to go up to her.

Her other friend, rashel, was introduced to her by Jane. After that, they all three became the best trio. They still had other friends outside the three, but they still always had the best times together.

The graduation ceremony was over and acacia and all her friends all went with their families to take pictures. They took a few together first, but soon went their separate ways.

"I can't believe we graduated together!" Acacia's cousin, Luna, said with excitement.

Luna and acacia were probably the closest out of all their other cousins. They did so much together. Even when Luna lived four hours away, they would always have the best times together when they got to see each other. She moved back during their 8th grade year, and ever since then, they went to the same school. They were closer than ever.

After taking pictures, Acacia, Luna, and the rest of their family went to go eat. The only place that was open at 12 midnight was ihop, so that's where they went. They ate, took a bunch of pictures, cried out of happiness, and just had a good time.

"So Acacia, where are you going to school?" Her aunt had asked.

"Oh I'm going to Cal Poly." Acacia didn't seem so excited when she replied. She wasn't. She, out of all honesty, did not want to go to school. She wanted to take a break from school. She felt it was well needed, considering all the anxiety, bad grades she went through, and the lectures and punishments her mom gave her. Not only that, but her friends weren't going with her. They were going to a different school. Yes, they could still hang out during the weekends since they weren't going to be that far from each other, but it just wasn't going to be the same. She was not looking forward to college at all. The only reason she was doing it was because of her family that were pushing her to get an education.

"Oh come on you have to say that with more enthusiasm!" Her aunt Virginia regarded. "And where are you going Luna?"

Luna started smiling as she responded, "I'm going to cal state Monterey Bay!" She was so filled with excitement! Luna couldn't wait for college. She was going to be far, but not too far, from her home. She was excited to live out the college life. Acacia on the other hand, was not.

They all finally finished eating. They all said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.

Acacia did not know what was in store for her, but she sure was thinking a lot about it on the car ride home. She was scared. She was happy to be out of high school, but scared for what was to come. She's not all that great about change that happens in her life. She was just hoping to always be happy no matter what was to come.

I'm so excited for this story. Mainly because it's a story that is quite personal, since it relates to what I'm going through. I hope you all can relate to and enjoy it! I'm also not sure if I'm going to make this a fanfiction or not so we'll see. I'm just going to categorize it as that for now. Hope you enjoyed the prologue!
