Awoken from a loud noise in the living room, chills fill your spine to the brim when you see what’s laying there, just laying there mindless on the linoleum kitchen floor. You see the blood. All that blood splattered on the walls in different directions, all in various areas.

Your vision gets blurred from the burning tears but your curiosity drives you to gaze and refocus your eyes. It- “it” is the only gender or thing it can ever be. The jaw line on its face was sharp, its chin slightly pointy looking, through the eyes you couldn’t see its face; it was all just a blur. Until it let you see. Controlling the monster may seem to be, but through the cosmic mind it spoke the words well waited for to hear.

Like a whisper in the wind a strong yet trembling voice it exhaled the words

“Nothing to fear but fear itself, if you are afraid, then who am I?”
