"I used to shut my door when my mother screamed in the kitchen.
I'd turn the music up, get high and try not to listen to every little fight. 'Cause neither one was right. I swore I'd never be like them. But I was just a kid back then."

Yoongi

The aggravated teen huffed as he tossed his phone onto his bed. Yoongi moved his laptop off his legs before pushing up off the headboard.

He tried not to get so annoyed when Jimin went off about "jungri". It wasn't only Jimin, it was Hoseok and Namjoon as well. The three pissed him off with the topic. They weren't the ones who had consoled Ari since elementary school after she had moved. They weren't the ones who helped her through asshole kids who would tease her for being from America. They didn't know Ari as he did.

The more uncomfortable Ari got with "jungri" the angrier he got. Yes, Yoongi could admit that his reasoning was slightly silly, because anyone with eyes could see that Jungkook was good for Ari, but he refused to believe it.

Yoongi practically growled as he pushed the topic from his mind, not willing to try and understand the confusion that came with his annoyance.

Placing his feet on the soft carpeted floor of his bedroom he stood and moved to open his door. The house was oddly quiet. Not like it normally is. No sounds of slamming cabinets from his father or angry complaints from his mother. Yoongi assumed they were out for the night.

His parents being gone meant he didn't have to accept the scolding he got from them when he slipped on his smoke scented jacket and stepped into the chilly air of the back porch with a lighter in hand. A soon as a thin cancerous stick was ablaze he placed it between his lips and sucked in.

Ari had told him to stop smoking long ago, and he tried, he really did, but the more weight that was set on his shoulders, the harder it got. At this point, Ari had started to accept it. She never agreed with it, but she knew she couldn't stop him.

Yoongi would stop if it was that easy. He would, simply because Ari told him to. But he couldn't, not now anyway.

The sun had only just set, and the sky was dark, the stars starting to appear one by one is the sky. The twinkling dots that seemed so small from so far away. Yoongi wondered what they looked like up close. Would they be shiny like they are now? Would they capture his amusement just as much as when he could see them in bulk?

His eyes catch a small group of twinkling stars. They all look so close together from far away. But up close, the distance is so great. He wonders if the stars ever get lonely?

I didn't mean for this chapter to be so short, but I was proud of it so I wanted to end it before I ruined it :)

Arrivederci~
