Normal POV

It was in the evening, yet the sky seems to shine brightly that covers the landscape of Qishan. Hence, the name 'Nightless City' in Qishan.

Wen Chao was currently bowing in front of the gate, saying his piece to his father, Wen Ruohan, about the archery match with the 4 clans.

"Father. At the archery match today, I was incompetent and brought shame to the Wen Clan. The other 4 clans conspired to trick me! How treacherous of them! I..."

He was interrupted when the gate before him opened, to reveal the said figure standing in front of Wen Chao with such a strong presence. Wen Ruohan walked passed his son and called his son coldly, "Chao-er"

"Yes, Father"

"The 4 clans have been extremely arrogant. It's about time that we should teach them about what is order and what is...hierarchy" he then smirked viciously, as he can't wait to bring order to all of the clans and show them that they have just messed with the wrong person.

In Xuanzheng Year 19, year of Ji Mao. Qishan Wen clan thought that they have successfully annexed Runan Wang Clan, Hedong Fu Clan and dozens of other cultivation clans.

However, what they did not know was that Dawn had managed to convince the people with the help of Jiang Fengmian and Lan Qiren, to get out of the place. Not only that, she had created an illusion, one of her powers, of the people living there in order to prevent suspicion when the Wen Clan invaded the place.

The innocent clans were grateful for their actions and declared that they would fight together with them to stop the Wen Clan's violence.

Though, it was not the same for the Cloud Recesses. Even though she had Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen's support, the elders and the actual Clan leader of Gusu-Lan, Qingheng-Jun, are not convinced and their plans were not carried out eventually.

So when the Wen Clan had ruthlessly invaded their place, the leader of Gusu-Lan clan went into a coma with severe injuries and the Cloud Recesses were burnt to ashes. Not only that, the people are worried when both Lan Xichen and Lan Qingheng had gone missing since the start of the Wen Clan's invasion.

Though, unbeknownst to them, Dawn had make plans with Lan Xichen to provide a hidden, safe place for the innocent clan and guide them to be competent to fight when the time comes. As for the leader of Gusu-Lan, Dawn had healed his injuries and instructed that he need to be in the hidden place as well for him to rest.

Even though the relationship between the father and both of the sons are bad from the beginning, Dawn still does not want Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji to live on without a father. So she thought she should give Qingheng-Jun a chance and an opportunity to start anew once things started settling down.

On the other hand, Wei Wuxian felt worried whenever he sees Dawn, since she looked exhausted to the point of passing out. He wanted to confront her about what was going on but Jiang Fengmian shook his head.

"Wait till Dawn is ready to tell you"

"What? But Uncle Jiang... what is going on?"

"Just... when the time comes, you must believe in her and trust her."
